Discover Texas in another dimension with a new augmented reality trail in Liverpool

This Saturday (September 7) Texas is set to rock the M&S Bank Arena with an incredible live performance celebrating their greatest hits.

With a huge list of hits like Say What You Want, Summer Son, Inner Smile and Black Eyed Boy, Texas were one of the biggest bands to come out of the 90s.

Singer Sharleen Spiteri is phenomenal live and this Saturday they’ll be performing a Greatest Hits set at the Arena, with special guest KT Tunstall. 

As if this wasn’t exciting enough, Texas fans can now immerse themselves in a groundbreaking augmented reality (AR) trail in the lead up to the show.

Developed in collaboration with FeedAR, ACCL, and Liverpool University, this innovative AR trail invites fans to embark on a musical journey from Liverpool Lime Street to the Royal Albert Dock.

As they walk, fans will explore Texas’ iconic discography, spanning from 1989 to the present day. The AR trail offers interactive album highlights, quizzes, and other unique features that celebrate the band’s musical career.

The AR tool will guide users to various waypoints along their route, with each location triggering interactive content through their phone’s camera.

The trail, designed to take approximately 35 minutes to complete, is intended to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace.

Fans are encouraged to allocate around an hour to fully appreciate the AR features and engage with the interactive elements.
