The Men Who Inspire event is set to be a powerful and thought-provoking experience that opens up much needed conversations around men’s mental health and wellbeing.
Clare Ellis, founder of Wellness in the City, a Liverpool based initiative committed to promoting inclusive mental wellbeing through events, dialogue and community action, invites you to join her at Boxpark on 19th November for an unforgettable event to mark International Men’s Day.
It will celebrate those who have overcome challenges, raise awareness through education, and bring the community together to tackle what has fast become a growing mental health crisis.
Men Who Inspire takes place from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and is open to everyone from professionals seeking personal or professional development to individuals who simply want to learn more about supporting their own wellbeing or that of others. Attendees are welcome to stay for the full morning or drop in as their schedule allows, making the most of the engaging line-up of live talks, interactive Q&A sessions, and networking opportunities designed to inspire connection and action within the community.
Clare Ellis, founder of Wellness in the City, explains:
“We need to build spaces where men feel safe to open up, where others feel equipped to support them, and where the whole community sees this as our conversation not someone else’s. Men Who Inspire is about bringing people together, breaking stigma and creating lasting connections.”
Key guest speakers include:
- DJ Lee Butler, presenter on In Demand Radio, Stephen Melling from Recovery Runners and Steve Jones from Steps Together UK, delivering New Chapters, New Choices, a powerful conversation exploring addiction recovery, resilience, and hope.
- Jamie Wray from Ways to WOW, discussing the importance of human connection.
- Saeed Olayiwola and Stephen Weatherhead alongside the Martin Gallier Project’s, focusing on men’s mental health and suicide prevention
A special thanks goes to Steps Together UK, MiddleAged Vandals, and MAC Sleep Clinic for their invaluable support in making this event possible and for their continued dedication to promoting recovery and wellbeing within our communities.
