With a vibrant and eclectic mix of events, market stalls, food traders and beverage offerings, this exciting contemporary venue is new to the docks appealing to all; tourists and out of town clientele, whilst merging with the lively local scene at bustling Castle Street and The Albert Dock.
Andy Duckworth who is behind the concept says, ‘When considering where to position DDC, we wanted somewhere that would draw people to us. The right location was vital because it contributes in making the whole experience awesome. Although it is ambitious we want to offer the very best in dining solutions for brunch, lunch and dinner. We’ve visited the best street food markets in the country; Altrincham, Pop Brixton, Camden Market, Sheffield’s Peddler Night Market, Dockyard Social, Platform in Glasgow….and many many more. We know the demand is there, we know what people expect and I’m looking forward to showcasing what we’ve got to Liverpool, in full view of our iconic skyline and three graces.”
Determined to achieve the high standards he desires, Andy has recently recruited a new addition to the team, award winning restaurateur Joanna Jones joins as Business Development Manager. Stepping away from owning and managing her own independent eatery, Joanna tells us how Andy’s vision has motivated her to rejoin the industry she was walking away from. ‘Talking to Andy it was clear to me that he wanted to achieve the very best. He also echoed the intentions I’d had with my own place; allowing a group of people with different taste and requirements to all experience the very best in a magical setting while dining as one party. I’m excited to be working on this concept….when a street-food vendor is awarded the highly coveted Michelin star, you know times are changing. It’s really exciting, and seeing it all come together is thrilling. It’s been an easy idea to promote, and vendors are as enthusiastic as we are. We can’t wait to open our doors.”
Regular events will see Dockside Dining Club hosting a variety of classes including childrens and adults yoga, meditation, pilates, mindfulness, exercise classes and a number of wellbeing workshops. Market stalls will have independent traders offering a selection of products which will consist of vintage, vegan prints, crystal jewellery, boho clothing and accessories, naturally handmade beauty products, skin care, candles, fresh bread, homemade chutneys, jams, preserves and much much more. From season to season, the space will evolve as the team inform us of their winter garden.
As well a number of exciting food concepts which are brand new to Liverpool, Dockside Dining Club have some impressive independents joining them. Award winning gelato manufacturer Cafe Cream will be in attendance when they open their doors in July. Cowfish Smokehouse, KO Grill, and Liverpool sushi specialists Izakaya are confirmed too. Covering all angles the venue will also have Dockside Cafe serving up brunches and lunches, superfood smoothies, handmade juices, locally roasted neighbourhood coffee and artisan teas.
Full hire of the space at Dockside Dining Club for corporate clients can also be obtained as well as transformations of the space for different projects and ideas. As well as offering free WiFi and a large area for a wide range of events; weddings, private parties, business conferences, corporate functions as well a vast selection of regular entertainment and one off events.
