The market, which is open from Tuesday-Sunday during the festive period, has been decked out in twinkling fairy lights, huge wreaths and garlands throughout the 5000 sqft venue.
Duke Street Market is home to six different food vendors; Asian-inspired Ginger, red meat specialist Bone and Block, Cinder which cooks its dishes over open fire, plant-based Indigo Greens, Cuban-inspired Finca and Cucina Di Vincenzo – the family run Italian.
The kitchens will also have various festive specials on offer and you can find Christmas coffees and cocktails at the kiosk and bars.
The market is marking its first Christmas, providing an alternative for traditional Christmas parties where guests can all sit together and order food from any of the kitchens or bars and secure a table for just £30 per person.
It is also hosting a big New Year’s Eve bash that is £75 per person and is complete with live music from popular band Twisted Tubes, DJ, an interactive magician, food platters from all six kitchens, a glass of fizz on arrival and half a bottle of wine on the table per person.
Tickets are sold in full tables (minimum table size is four) and all enquiries can be sent to [email protected]spiritsgroup.
And on Saturday 7th and Saturday 21st December, the market is hosting special Santa’s Stories where children can sit around and listen to Father Christmas tell special festive stories, before getting a goody bag each. Tickets are £10 per child and are available here.
Lee Bannon-Smith, Duke Street Market’s General Manager, said: “Our decorations have gone up and the market has a wonderful festive feel to it. The showstopper is definitely our 10 foot Christmas tree that has been suspended from the ceiling – it’s a Christmas cracker!
“The market is all about community dining and sharing and that’s what Christmas is all about so it’s the perfect place to visit with your friends and family. And we have a special play area to keep the kids entertained!”
