Chip’d, the Dutch-inspired artisan chip shop concept, will be launching its year-long residency in Liverpool at Dockside Dining Club at Mann Island on Saturday 30th March at 12pm noon. To celebrate, the first 50 guests will receive a FREE cone of chips.
Prior to the Liverpool launch, Chip’d opened its first store on Northgate Street, Chester to rave reviews, with its signature Dutch-style chips, dips and Danish snacks, such as Bitterballen and Frikandel. Before that, Chip’d was known for cooking at food and music festivals, such as Festival No. 6 in Portmeirion and The Liverpool Food and Drink Festival 2018, at which it was nominated for the ‘Street Food King’ award. Now, founder Andrew McKechnie has brought this sophisticated and unique ‘chippy’ concept to Liverpool, setting up a year’s residency at the Dockside Dining Club, situated at Mann Island, Pier Head.
To celebrate the opening, the first 50 guests to visit from 12pm will receive a free cone of the Dutch-inspired ‘twice-fried’ chips, along with a dip of choice, which includes the Netherlands’ famous ‘Frites’ sauce – a light, tangy mayo.
Founder, Andrew Mckechnie, comments: “After an amazing launch in Chester where we’ve had great feedback, we’re delighted to be able to open our first location in Liverpool and work with some quality operators down at the Dockside. It’s fantastic to be part of the city’s independent food and drink scene and we look forward to welcoming our first Liverpool guests with some chips on the house!”
