Easyjet launches first flights from Liverpool to Hurghada
1 year ago
EasyJet has launched the first flights and holidays on a new year-round route from Liverpool to Egypt’s scuba-diving hotspot Hurghada, meaning customers have even more choice for their winter holiday.
The first flight took off yesterday and is now operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays so customers have the choice of a week break or even a long weekend.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said:
“We are delighted to have celebrated the launch of our new service from Liverpool to Hurghada, providing our customers with direct and convenient departures twice a week and brilliant winter sun packages to Egypt’s scuba-diving hotspot.”
Paul Winfield, Aviation Director at LJLA, commented:
“We’re delighted to welcome easyJet passengers travelling to Hurghada, which is the latest in a growing list of destinations to operate from Liverpool and now the furthest destination to be served direct from here. With what has already been a very wet start to the autumn, those wanting to head off for some Egyptian Autumn and Winter sun, where its currently a very pleasant 30 deg C, can now do so direct from the region’s airport of choice for passengers.”
easyJet serves 21 UK airports offering 485 routes to 137 destinations from the UK across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
