Eurovision Daily Monday 8th May: Nine events happening today
2 years ago
What a night it was at The National Lottery’s Big Eurovision Welcome last night! The air was filled with excitement and anticipation as 25,000 music lovers from all over gathered to witness the spectacle.
Today might be a rainy one, but that won’t dampen our spirits here in Liverpool. We’re ready for another day of Eurovision festivities, and we’re not going to let a bit of rain stop us!
We’ll keep you updated throughout the day if anything changes, but rest assured, we’re still going to have a good time. There are some fantastic events taking place today, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store.
Can we just talk about last night – we can’t think of a more perfect way to have welcomed Eurovision to the city and we did it how Scousers know best – with a proper massive party!
The crowd was treated to some fantastic performances from Atomic Kitten, Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK Winner The Vivienne, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, former Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst, and more! It really was a night to remember, and one that will go down in the history books for this city!
Jay spoke to Liz and Tash from Atomic Kitten yesterday ahead of their performance on the big stage take a look here at what they had to say:
If you didn’t get a chance to see it you can catch it tonight on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 6.30pm.
