Eurovision Daily Thursday 4th May: Five things going on today in Liverpool

The final of Eurovision is getting closer by the day and the city has come alive with music events, art installations, and parties!
How incredibly lucky are we, as a city, to get to host this iconic event. Eurovision in Liverpool is a once in a lifetime achievement, and we’re not sure about you, but we don’t want to miss a single moment of it!
The Guide Team will be bringing you daily updates throughout the contest, as The Voice of The Host City, to make sure you don’t miss a thing.
Yesterday, Jay and Gem were down at the Pier Head giving us a run down of some of the fantastic events which are taking place this week – like the Blue and Yellow Submarine Parade taking place at Williamson Square on Friday May 5.

Josh and Claire Simmo went to have a look around St George’s Plateau today as on Sunday St. George’s Hall Square will play host to the Big Eurovision Welcome.
30,000 will be in attendance to see the likes of Zara Larsson, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and more perform live to officially launch Eurovision 2023.

Eurodisco â Mamasan
The Roof Garden at Mamasan will host a late night terrace disco with DJs playing Eurovision Hits and Disco through to the early hours! These nights are sure to be the perfect way to celebrate the festival.

#BeerTogether Launch Party!
#BeerTogether joins the brewing communities of Liverpool and Ukraine in a celebration of beer, music, and unity during the festival of Eurovision.
All 8 beers brewed especially for the project will be showcased at Head Of Steam tonight! Go and celebrate unity, beer and music with them!

Stand Up For Eurovision
Stand Up For Eurovision, will see comedians from across Europe take part in a unique stand-up show at Mountford Hall (Liverpool Guild of Students).
The evening event will be compered by much-loved scouse comedian and podcaster Adam Rowe, renowned for his brand of dark, self-deprecating humour, and aims to showcase the best comedy acts from across a range of nations.

Late at Tate Liverpool: The Spirit of Eurovision
A very special Late at Tate Liverpool celebrates the power of music and creativity and its ability to unite. Enjoy live music, performance, workshops, talks, immersive installations and fashion, inspired by the joyous spirit of the Eurovision Song Contest.
Late at Tate Liverpool showcases the work of emerging and established creatives alongside Tateâs collection, the national collection of modern and contemporary art.

Home. Perspectives at Open Eye Gallery
Open Eye Gallery invites you to the launch of the UKâs largest showcase of Ukrainian photography, Home, developed with 49 partners and 44 sites across Liverpool City Region as part of EuroFestival.
The exhibition has been created in a dialogue between the Ukrainian, European and British photography sectors and presents diverse approaches to work with the photographic medium and different perspectives on Ukraineâs past and present.
The exhibition launches tonight at 6pm at the Open Eye Gallery in Mann Island.
