Everton in the Community raise over £1.5m in Societal Value with help of FIGS
10 months ago
Support from FIGS helped Everton in the Community (EitC) raise more than £45,000 for its 36th birthday celebrations; a total that equates to around £1.5m in societal value across Merseyside.
The Premier League Club’s Official Healthcare Apparel Partner kick-started the charity’s fundraising with a significant £20,000 donation to support EitC’s life-changing work.
And as EitC took the spotlight before Everton’s Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on 19 February, FIGS helped to boost the target total through a series of campaigns to bring focus to the fundraising efforts.
For the birthday fundraising initiative, FIGS donated three pairs of VIP hospitality tickets to the Crystal Palace game, which raised thousands through a prize draw open to all supporters.
The direct-to-customer healthcare apparel and lifestyle brand also donated five pairs of tickets at a silent auction, held in the hospitality lounges at the game, to win the enviable prize of watching Everton’s first team training at Goodison Park.
FIGS also supported EitC to encourage Evertonians to ‘be sound, bring a pound’ through a mass bucket collection around the ground, as the Club’s charitable arm achieved its ambitious £45,000 total.
That money raised will now help support EitC’S mission to build brighter futures and stronger communities across Liverpool City Region.
And with every £1 raised generating over £29 in societal value, according to EitC statistics, the money will directly impact the lives of thousands of people.
Sue Gregory, CEO for Everton in the Community, added:
“On behalf of the charity, I’d like to place my thanks on record to FIGS for their continued support of our work.
“We were delighted to raise such a significant amount of money as part of our birthday celebrations; this equates to more than £1.5million in social value, which not only represents the value for money created by the charity but also the wider benefit to society through the direct impact on people’s lives, the economy and the environment.”
FIGS’ generous donation represents its ongoing effort to support the Club’s charitable arm to benefit local healthcare causes.
Their support of Everton in the Community kicked off with a series of complimentary health screenings made available to supporters and will continue with support for medical professionals, as well as a focus on mental health awareness in May.
FIGS was founded with the mission of celebrating, empowering and serving healthcare professionals, and has a long track record of using philanthropy to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare community they serve.
Established in 1988, Everton in the Community has been providing a lifeline to those most in need across Liverpool City Region for more than three decades, helping to create brighter futures and stronger communities through its innovative and impactful delivery.
