Everton’s Jordan Pickford is Ravin’ Fit with Lee Butler
5 years ago

England’s number one Jordan Pickford and Radio City DJ Lee Butler are teaming up for a huge ‘Ravin Fit’ workout class at Everton Free School on Wednesday 28 November.
Bring your glow sticks and all your best moves and #gettheraveon with Blues’ goalkeeper Pickford and Club Ambassador Ian Snodin for an extra special workout class in aid of ‘The People’s Place’, Everton in the Community’s latest ground-breaking mental health campaign.
The 60-minute ‘Ravin Fit’ workout class is like no other and has taken Merseyside by storm with Liverpool Echo DJ of the Year Lee Butler bringing the club to the gym with a full stage show, including Lee on the decks spinning the big club classics through a pumping sound system, lights and effects for a brand new get-fit experience.
Our very own Lindzi Germain joined Radio City’s Leanne Campbell to experience Ravin Fit earlier this month, watch what happened here.
Speaking ahead of the event, Everton’s shot stopper Pickford said: “I’m really looking forward to joining everyone at this extra special ‘Ravin Fit’ at the end of November. Hopefully it’ll raise lots of money for a really important cause. I might even have a go at spinning a few classics on the night!”
Everton in the Community CEO Richard Kenyon added: “We are really grateful to Jordan for getting behind this event with all money raised going towards our People’s Place appeal; helping us build a permanent facility near Goodison Park to support those living with poor mental health.
“Everyone appreciates the physical benefits of exercise, but the mental health benefits of exercise can often be overlooked; It can help boost your self-esteem and confidence as well as decreasing depression and anxiety and I’d like to encourage everyone to buy tickets for what is sure to be a fantastic night!”
Liverpool Echo DJ Lee Butler said: “I am so excited to be bringing my Ravin Fit brand to Everton in the Community and help them raise money to support people living with poor mental health. I can’t wait to be part of this amazing event; get ready for a workout that feels like a night out!”
With a fundraising target of one million pounds, Everton in the Community aims to develop, build and maintain a purpose-built mental health facility close to Goodison Park that will become a delivery site for existing programmes and enable signposting to other services.
‘The People’s Place’ will provide an overarching service to anyone, regardless of age, gender or location, to promote positive mental health alongside support related to suicide awareness and prevention. The range of the mental health services available will offer clear pathways into Everton in the Community’s programmes and external support all tailored to the individual.
One in four people experience poor mental health each year whilst suicide kills 150 people across Merseyside a year. Mental illness and suicide are significant public health challenges which are more common in more significantly deprived inner-city areas such as L4 where almost the entire ward of Everton falls into the most deprived five percent of neighbourhoods nationally.
Tickets are priced at just £15 with some exclusive Everton prizes up for grabs on the night for the Best Raving Fitter and Dance-off Winner. Purchase your tickets today from Ravin’ Fit’s website here.
