Advertorial
The Good Liverpool ‘Good Market’ is coming back to Metquarter next Thursday (16 December).
It’s a great way to get loads of great Christmas gifts and support some of the city’s local and independent traders while you’re at it.
Liverpool’s Metquarter has already held one Good Market and, with another fab event planned, here’s everything you need to know:
What is Good Market Liverpool?
Good Market Liverpool is a specially curated collection of quality local and indie traders coming to the Metquarter and setting up their stalls with everything from hand-crafted cards and homewares to locally-made food and alcohol, retro clothing and everything in between.
When is it on and where?
It’s on on Thursday, December 16, between 3pm and 8pm, at Metquarter, Whitechapel, Liverpool. It will take over the GPO food hall and the upper level of the shopping mall. There will also be a selection of traders on the lower level too.
How many stalls will there be and who can I expect to see?
There will be around 50 stalls including: Self-care brand Hedonist; Murphy’s Gin; Legs Wine; Soccer Locker with retro football nostalgia; Liverpool jeweller and illustrator, Mushy Pea Design; Posh Burn home fragrance; Grey Collective jewellery; oil painter Alex Fletcher; Idle Hands craft cocktails; Joy26 ethical and sustainable clothing, and loads more.
Will GPO still serve food?
Yes the GPO will still be serving food and, if you buy an adult meal, a child with you can eat free!
Will there be anything else to look forward to?
Yes. There will be entertainment including a choir of students from LMA, and there will be a special gift-wrapping service for anyone shopping at the Metquarter. The service will be free, but people will be asked to make a donation to the Trussell Trust – one of the charities Metquarter supports – which aims to stop UK hunger and food poverty.
Will other stores and venues in the Metquarter still be open?
Yes, all the local label, arts and fashion retailers will remain open throughout the event, along with the Everyman Cinema which will be showing plenty of festive entertainment.
