Everything you need to know about the LFC parade so far

Liverpool FC have been crowned Champions of England for the 20th time. And the city is set to celebrate like never before.

Here’s everything you need to know (so far) about the LFC parade, happening Monday, May 26th 2025.

What’s the parade route?

The 15km victory parade route starts at Allerton Maze. It will travel northbound on Queens Drive towards the Fiveways roundabout and Rocket flyover. From there, it will journey along:

• Queens Drive

• Mill Bank

• West Derby Road

• Islington

• Leeds Street

• The Strand

• Route finishes at Blundell Street

What time does the victory parade start and finish?

The Premier League trophy parade begins at around 2.30pm on Bank Holiday Monday, May 26 May. City officials expect the parade to last between 3 and 5 hours. However, this is subject to change.

What will the parade include?

LFC Parade
LFC Victory Parade – 2022

We don’t know all the details yet – but you can expect a sea of red as Liverpool celebrate winning the Premier League trophy with an open-top bus tour through the city.

If 2022 is anything to go by, there’ll be plenty of surprises along the way.

Three years ago, when Liverpool FC paraded the FA Cup and League Cup the day after losing in the Champions League Final, DJ Calvin Harris joined players and staff on the open top bus. The Scottish-born Reds supporter supplied the tunes for the bus tour, calling the parade “the biggest gig of my life.”

Smoke flares and confetti canons were on The Strand and along the waterfront to mark the end of the 2022 parade.

An estimated 750,000 people attended the Champions League-winning parade in 2019. Expect this year’s celebration to be even bigger.

Where to go for drinks around the route

Reds, Exchange Street

The only dedicated LFC Sports Bar in Liverpool City Centre. Celebrate amongst matchworn shirts and memorabilia, including ‘The Road to Madrid’ tunnel carpet, which (probably) still contains Messi’s tears from LFC’s 2019 infamous comeback victory over Barcelona (probably).

Visit the website.

Flight Club, Liverpool ONE

Liverpool ONE is a prime spot for a pre or post-parade bevy. With plenty of food, drink and activities to keep you entertained, Flight Club is our pick for before and after the bus tour.

Malmaison Terrace, Princes Dock

If the weather’s good, head to The Mal’s terrace for an ice-cold celebratory pint, a deep red Bloody Mary, or a bottle of fizz if you’re pushing the boat out. It’s only a short walk from where the parade passes on Leeds Street.

Where to eat in town

Rudy’s Pizza, Castle Street

Oh, Campione! Raise a slice to LFC’s title charge with true Neopolitan pizza at Rudy’s. The only thing more authentically Italian is Federico Chiesa’s accent.

Lunya, Liverpool ONE

There was pre-season clamour for Liverpool to sign Spain’s Martin Zubimendi. But Lunya is all you really need to fill your squad with a touch of Spanish class. Serves some of the city’s top tapas.

Almost Famous

Celebrate The Reds’ title win with a ‘This Is Liverpool’ burger.

How to get into town

Roads will be closed throughout the city, particularly around the parade route, so traffic delays are inevitable. Our advice is to get into Liverpool early on public transport.

Merseyrail, Arriva and Stagecoach will be running regular services throughout the day. We’ll give you more information when we have it.

Things to remember

Big celebrations work best when everyone can enjoy them safely. Play your part by following these pointers.

– Spread out along the parade route

– No flares or pyrotechnics

– Drink plenty of water

– Wear suncream, if needed

Those planning to line the route and cheer the team on should expect the city to be extremely busy, not only on the Monday but also in the days beforehand as Liverpool hosts the major music event, Radio 1 Big Weekend.
