Experience a world of entertainment this summer with the Blackpool BIG Ticket

Watch as our Kate and her little ones experience all Blackpool’s BIG ticket has to offer in the video above

No British Summer would be complete without a trip to the seaside and what better place to make memories with all the family, than at Merlin’s Blackpool attractions?

With the Blackpool BIG Ticket you can save more than 50% at seven amazing attractions, we sent our Kate and the kids for a fun-filled day at The Blackpool Tower where they met a whole load of stars.

WIN – Fancy a BIG ticket for you family of four? Simply share this post on Facebook or RT on Twitter. Winner will be chosen at random on Monday 17th July, just in time for summer holidays.

We arrived in Blackpool bright and early and the first great bonus of the Blackpool BIG Ticket is that it’s valid for 90 days so there’s plenty of time to use it whether you’re coming to the coast for a day trip like us, staying for a weekend or planning to visit Blackpool more than once over the Summer.

There’s also another huge saving to be had and that’s by booking your tickets in advance, online. The Blackpool BIG Ticket is the best value offer with savings of up to £45.95 on standard on the day admission prices.

Here’s how we got on with our Blackpool BIG ticket…

The Blackpool Tower Eye and 4D Cinema Experience

The Guide Liverpool

First up and suitable for all ages, we set off on a trip down memory lane to experience the 4d cinema, a short film that brings the history of the tower to life with a few cheeky surprises. We couldn’t wait to climb 380 feet into the air to the top of The Blackpool Tower to check out the views and pluck up the courage to step out onto the 5cm thick glass SkyWalk?

Jungle Jims Softplay

Safely back on solid ground we chucked off our shoes and went exploring at Jungle Jims, Blackpool Tower’s indoor soft play area. With a dedicated play frame for the under 5’s and great slides, ball pools and nets for the bigger kids, a session at Jungle Jims is a real lifesaver for families when the weather isn’t so great! Burn off some steam and swinging through the jungle. We loved the affordable snacks and slushies too!

The Blackpool Tower Dungeons

Our Kate was banished to The Blackpool Dungeons for being a big wuss on the SkyWalk and faced all manner of jump out scares and unexpected frights. Take a deep breath and dare to explore a murky side of Lancashire that’s best left in the past. With 10 live action shows and a sit-in ride called ‘Dead Drop’ this is 60 minutes of your life you’re never going to forget. This attraction is best suited to those aged over 8 and is as educational as it is funny and frightful. What a mash up!

The Blackpool Tower Circus

Ahh the infamous Blackpool Tower Circus has been thrilling audiences for over 20 years, and this years show is an absolute jaw-dropper. Meet clowns, Mr Boo and Mooky as they take your on a journey through acrobatics, dance performance and slapstick comedy in a circus arena that’s simply unrivalled. The kids are even invited into the ring at half time for face painting, circus tricks and a chance to meet the clowns. The Blackpool Tower Circus is an attraction with something for all the family.

The Blackpool Tower Ballroom

The most elegant attraction included in the Blackpool BIG ticket has to be The Blackpool Tower Ballroom. This grand old stunner is the host of the annual Strictly Come Dancing Live show and its actually pretty spectacular. You’re invited to brush up on your quick step and enjoy an afternoon tea with a soundtrack of time gone by. The Blackpool Tower Ballroom offers an opportunity to relax, unwind and marvel in the golden era of dance, and we loved it!

Madame Tussauds Blackpool

A firm favourite with Kate and the kids, Madame Tussauds Blackpool houses a wealth of Hollywood, TV and music stars just waiting to pose for a selfie. Visitors are welcomed by Simon Cowell on his plush casting couch before exploring more than 7 different zones with a famous face to thrill everyone. From Shrek for the kids to Frost for the tv drama fans and of course our very own royal family, make sure you’ve got your pose ready and plenty of storage space for all those pictures.

SEA LIFE Centre Blackpool

We saved SEA LIFE Centre Blackpool for last on our trip as again it’s an attraction with something for everyone, and its an educational, fun and calming experience for little ones too. Make your way around the winding path discovering creatures from the deep, the rocks and some brand new inhabitants that will make you Sea Stars! Kids can go on a deep sea hunt of their own with passport books and clues, and who can resist a cuddly sea creature of their own from the gift shop at the end? The underwater tunnel at SEA LIFE Centre Blackpool is by far one of the best attractions for all ages, and a firm favourite with Kate and her mini tribe.

To plan a Blackpool adventure of your own, head to the official website www.blackpoolbigticket.com and check out the brilliant deals just waiting to be snapped up. With 7 attractions and 90 days to redeem your Blackpool BIG ticket, there’s a whole summer of fun waiting for you at the seaside.
