Experience The Wonder of Christmas at Royal Albert Dock Liverpool

This year, visitors to Royal Albert Dock Liverpool are invited to discover the Wonder of Christmas and enjoy a whole host of magical activities to get into the Christmas spirit.
Not only can guests experience the taste of Christmas at one of the many bars and restaurants, or find the perfect gift from one of the independent retailers, but a variety of winter spectacles will be taking place throughout the festive period.
From gazing at the heart-warming āLove Returnsā projection cast against the Merseyside Maritime Museum, roaming around the beautifully-lit Dock which will be illuminated with nearly a million lights, and snuggling up to watch Home Alone on the floating pop-up cinema, the Dock offers a festive experience like nowhere else in the city.

Visitors can enjoy an original and unique visual experience with a series of incredible huge projections, created by Double Take Projections LTD, cast against the inner quay side of the Merseyside Maritime Museum each with their own special theme. The Christmas projection, āLove Returnsā, will incorporate the spirit of Liverpool with a combination of romance, maritime and local history in a heart-warming film. The impressive works of art will be available to see from all around the Dock, and are destined to be one of Liverpoolās most stand-out Winter spectacles.
The Dock itself will be festively dressed with a brand new lighting scheme, Magical Lights. Over one million twinkling lights will illuminate each of the 86 iconic columns, capturing the spirit of Liverpool and lighting up the inner quay and beyond. Visitors can roam through the beautifully lit Dock and explore the diverse retail offering to find the perfect present, or indulge in a tasty meal or festive tipple at one of the many bars and restaurants.
Festive film lovers can pay a visit to the Christmas pop-up cinema in association with Independent Liverpool, which launches on Saturday 30th November until Sunday 8th December. Not only can visitors snuggle under blankets and watch their favourite movies including Elf, Love Actually, The Grinch and Home Alone, but a selection of the Dockside restaurants will also be on hand to provide tasty cinema-style snacks and winter-warmers.
Part of National Museums Liverpool, Merseyside Maritime Museum at the Dock has a number of Christmas options for a memorable evening of drinking, dining and dancing. Encompassing waterfront elegance at its best, guests can celebrate in style at the historic museum with packages to suit all preferences. These include an all-inclusive evening with a sparkling drinks reception and two-course meal, a private party with exclusive hire of the venue and a special menu, or even an afternoon tea with Santa himself complete with crafts for children and a selection of mouth-watering cakes.

In addition to these exciting festivities, the Dock also plays home to a variety of retailers and attractions including Tate Liverpool which hosts a number of must-see exhibitions, and a variety of limited edition prints and gifts from the Tate shop, providing the perfect Christmas present for art-lovers.
