A Family Ticket can be used for a family of up to 5 for just £11 and covers 1 or 2 adults travelling with children aged 5-15. Enjoy unlimited travel (excluding peak hours 6:31am – 9:29am Monday to Friday) including on weekends and Bank Holidays, so you can hop on and off at all your favourite destinations.
You can buy your Family Ticket in advance online or from your nearest Merseyrail station. It’s valid on the Northern and Wirral Merseyrail lines and on Northern Rail on the City Line.
There’s a world of creepy crawlies, winged wonders and magnificent beasts to explore at Chester Zoo this summer and you can get there with Merseyrail. Keep your eyes peeled for Cbeebies’ Mr Bloom and a giant botanical plant invasion too. Use your family ticket to travel to Chester and simply hop on the Zoo Shuttle Bus outside the station.

There are toilet facilities and two cafes to grab ice creams and cold drinks and near by Lake Lane is bursting with child friendly restaurants too.
