The family of a man who died in a road traffic collision in Bromborough on Wednesday 10 January have issued a tribute.
Jason Threlfall, aged 36, was tragically killed in a collision at the junction of Stadium Road and Commercial Road in Bromborough, after it was reported that his motorbike had been in collision with a Kia Sportage car.
The driver of the Kia Sportage car stopped at the scene.
In a tribute, his family said:
āA son, a brother, a father, a partner, an uncle, a godfather, and a friend to so many.
āA beautiful soul who kept himself to himself yet was loved by all who knew him.
āHe would light up a room with his stunning smile and infectious laugh, always the joker.
āJason was generous to a fault and helped so many who were stuck, a lot of the time just as a favour.
āHis passing will definitely leave a huge void in so many lives, but at some point during our day we always remember his quips when we see or hear something which will bring a smile to our faces, and a giggle to our hearts…..
āThe family have been overwhelmed by the generosity, support, donations and out pouring of love.
āJason will be sadly missed, but forever in our hearts until we meet him again.ā
A 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and has been released under investigation.
Merseyside Police is continuing to appeal for any information to assist the ongoing investigation.
Detective Sergeant Simon Duffy from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said:
āOur thoughts remain very much with Jasonās family, and they are being supported by a specially trained Family Liaison Officer.
āOur investigation continues and I would like to thank those who stopped to help Jason after the collision.
āWe continue to appeal for motorists to check your dashcam footage and those who witnessed the collision to come forward, as this could prove vital in establishing the full circumstances of this incident.ā
