These are the best Liverpool Pizza joints to enjoy a slice
6 years ago
Whether you’re, grabbing lunch on the go, hung-over or sharing a few slices with the people you love, pizza is always a good idea.
As Liverpool’s foodie offering continues to grow so does the number of top class pizzerias, as we clamour for a carb-heavy, freshly baked slice. Easy to consume on the go or feed a whole family, did you know this traditional Italian treat was actually first invented in Greece?
As popular today as back when Queen Margherita first championed it, we’ve lined up 9 of the top Pizza eateries in Liverpool to grab a slice.
1 – Crazy Pedro’s
He’s not called Crazy Pedro for nothing! With £1.50 slices on offer and a monthly special (remember the one with fried crickets!?) we like to wash ours down with a frozen marg and some competitive beer pong. Info here.
2 – Amalia
Winner of the Italian Awards Best Pizza, Best Team award 3 years running, Amalia on Campbell Square is family dining at its best. We highly recommend the pizza carbonara, damn it’s good. Menu here.
3 – Rudy’s
Rudy’s Neapolitan Pizza is the new kid on the Castle Street block and importing some seriously good authentic ingredients, including mortadella ham. Check out the menus here.
4 – Santa Maluco
Bring your appetite to Santa Maluco, Castle Street. One because there’s so many amazing handmade, freshly baked slices on offer you’ll have to try them all and two because you can with their rodizio style dining. We…..can’t…..stop! Menus and more here.
5 – American Pizza Slice
If you’ve never eaten pizza from American Pizza Slice Bold St, on the steps of the Bombed Out Church when you’re a bit drunk, are you even scouse? Amazing combo’s, brilliant value and always fresh. More info here.
6 – Nightcrawler
Another hang-over busting pizza parlour comes in the shape of Nightcrawler Pizza next door to The Merchant, Slater St. These slices are like dinner plates, they’re huge, hot and filling…ahem*. More info here.
7 – Crust
Yep that’s a blackened pizza base you’re looking at right there and it’s bloody delicious! Made using a natural vegetable charcoal, recommended to improve your insides and assist in detoxifying the body. Delicious and healthy! We’re in. Menus here.
8 – The Italian Club
We’re talking full on authenticity at The Italian Club, Bold Street. It feels like you’re dining in someone’s actual dining room. If you like a chunky veggie pizza, this is definitely the place for you. Chef Martino doesn’t hold back on the toppings! Menus here.
9 – Lock & Key
Lock & Key, Duke Street offers a Neapolitan pizza menu from 4pm-10pm every day. A fresh slice will set you back just £2 and you can either sit in with a gin or take away! All about the Napoli for us! Menus and more here.
