The Lancashire based family experience, which opened this month, is the only farm attraction in the UK to have Shaun the Sheep in permanent residence.
Occupying almost 2 acres of the 6 acre adventure farm, this is an exciting new destination where families can have fun amongst engaging activities, showcasing the award-winning world of Shaun the Sheep.
Mark and Diane Edwards and their team have been theming various areas to create a new “camp” for Shaun the Sheep and his friends. The redesigned areas of Farmer Ted’s Adventure Farm allows for the world famous characters, Shaun the Sheep and his side kick Bitzer to present daily shows, including “meet and greets” with photo opportunities.
Themed activities include Bitzer’s Kinetic Club House, reaction game Hog Splash, and navigation challenge Moley Moley. Mossy Bottom Crafts encourages visitors’ creativity with craft activities.
Having managed Farmer Ted’s for over 16 years, Mark Edwards is thrilled to have Shaun the Sheep in residence at the family farm attraction: “I’ve been a long-term fan of Shaun the Sheep and Aardman, so we are excited to welcome Shaun and his flock to Farmer Ted’s Adventure Farm. It really is an excellent opportunity to help maintain and boost tourism within the North West of England”
Commenting on the deal, Ngaio Harding-Hill, Head of Attractions and Live Experiences at Aardman says: “We’re delighted to be launching Shaun the Sheep’s first UK farm attraction experience at Farmer Ted’s. The Adventure Farm is the perfect home for Shaun, Bitzer and the Flock and we’ve worked closely with the Farmer Ted’s team to ensure the visitor experience captures all the fun, humour and creativity fans love.”
