Find golden tickets on buses to win £1000’s of books for your school

This World Book Day (Thursday 7th March) the Better By Bus Club will be encouraging primary school children and their parents to jump on the bus to be in with the chance of winning thousands of pounds worth of books for their classroom.

On Thursday morning, 10 special golden tickets will be randomly placed on buses across Liverpool City Region. If an eagle-eyed primary school student finds a golden ticket, all they have to do is bring it to school with them and let their teacher know they have won.

If a parent finds the golden ticket, they can use it to win books for their child’s classroom, or if someone else finds the ticket, they can donate the books to a school of their choice, provided the school is in the city region.

This special cash giveaway is part of Better By Bus’s latest campaign, All You Need Is Bus. The campaign is promoting the various benefits of bus travel, including new and improved buses, free Wi-Fi and USB chargers, as well as the positive impact that bus travel has on the environment.

Lisa Pearson, campaign conductor at Better By Bus, said:

“World Book Day is a day full of creativity and adventure, so of course we had to join in with our special golden ticket giveaway. We know how important reading is, no matter our age, and we also know that many of our passengers enjoy jumping on the bus with their favourite book, instead of worrying about navigating traffic and finding somewhere to park.

“The Better By Bus Club is all about encouraging schoolchildren and their parents to jump on the bus, so we’re looking forward to seeing who will find the golden tickets and win some fantastic books for their schools.”

Better By Bus is led by Liverpool City Region’s Bus Alliance, which is made up of Merseytravel, Stagecoach and Arriva. The alliance formed in 2016 and aims to get more people on board by promoting the numerous benefits of catching the bus.
