Celebrate the International Day of Happiness 2026 with a Happy Day for someone special

Following the success of the inaugural Your Happy Days in 2024, and to mark the International Day of Happiness on 20th March 2026, Liverpool entrepreneurs Alan Cosgrove and Peter Schriewersmann, co-founders of Happy Days Group, are inviting people across the Liverpool City Region to help make something magical happen.  

They’re asking the public to nominate someone; be it a family member, a neighbour, a friend, or a familiar face from your local community, who truly deserves a joyful experience: a Happy Day to remember. Their perfect Happy Days!  

Alan and Peter (with Peter proudly claiming his adopted Scouser status!) are passionate about spreading happiness far and wide. Their mission? To sprinkle a little stardust and turn everyday kindness into something extraordinary.  

Who can you nominate?  

• A neighbour who’s a pillar of the community  
• A family member who always puts others first  
• Someone from your local shop, school, or community centre who brings a smile to  everyone’s face  
• Or simply someone who deserves a moment of magic  

There are four nomination categories:

• Child/Young Person (aged 17 and under)  
• Adult (aged 18–64)  
• Older Person (aged 65+)  
• An Entire Family  

Peter Schriewersmann, co-owner and founder of Happy Days Group, said:  

“Liverpool is a city defined by its community. We believe in using our networks not just for business, but for good. In times like these, it is our collective commitment to support one another that makes the real difference and makes them happy.”  

The next application process for 2026 nominations will open at 12pm on Monday 19^th January 2026. and will close at 5pm on Friday 13 February 2026.

The award ceremony will take place on Friday 20 March 2026.
