Find out more about The Curve Fashion Festival 2016 with Hayley Hasselhoff

The Curve Fashion Festival will be your one stop, Shop Til You Drop event with some of the biggest names in High Street & Online Fashion, and it hits the Liverpool Exhibition Centre on Sunday 10th September 2016.

Visitors will have the chance to shop the new plus size collections from River Island, Marks & Spencer, Simply Be, Very, Elvi, Boohoo and so many more.

We caught up with the face of the festival, US model and actress, Hayley Hasselhoff to talk all things tailoring, confidence building and Barbie!

It’s Hayley’s first visit to Liverpool and she’s excited about drawing the crowds to the Exhibition Centre on September 10th to not only immerse themselves in catwalk shows and beauty demo’s, but also to leave feeling empowered and inspired by new designers and trends.

Hayley explained: “I think that’s why these kind of festivals are so important, not only because of the high street brands and online retailers who exhibit their collections, but also for independent plus size designers to have a platform to launch their work from, and for visitors to see what clothing is available and accessible to them.”

There’s so much to do at The Curve Fashion Festival 2016!

From the big brands to the market hall of independent designers and the Meet & Greet celeb area (keep an eye out for Hayley as well as the hilarious Sandi and Sandra from Channel 4’s Gogglebox) and you simply cant miss the beauty tutorials and demo’s from the likes of Fake Bake, Cloud 9 and Chester-based, Doll Make Up Studio.

Hayley is a great advocate of confidence building and the importance of being healthy and happy with your own body. She believes The Curve Fashion Festival is about more than just picking up a bargain.

She explained: “There are tonnes of people there to help women of all ages to feel confident regardless of their shape and size, it shouldn’t just be about being confident and curvy, its about equality. I think events like The Curve Fashion Festival is another step towards equality for all.”

To further the empowerment message, children under 14 can attend the festival for free, and we cant help but think this is a real game changer for local youngsters who may be looking for some friendly guidance on how to boost their self-esteem, and feel confident in their clothes.

Even Barbie has gotten with the times now, tall, short, plus size, purple hair….whatever goes….and Hayley was excited to introduce us to the Lammily doll, which takes the equality message even further with stretch mark and acne stickers! We’re finally starting to educate our youngsters about real body shapes, and its long overdue.

Building on her already impressive career as a model and actress, Hayley is launching her very own collection, Elvi featuring tailored pieces that fit and flatter.

Inspired by her own unique style, Hayley, who adores tailoring, has honed her skill of confident dressing to create an affordable, chic collection of separates that has something for everyone.

Hayley said: “You know when you look good, you feel good and my collection features key pieces that women can mix and match up with their own outfits. I’m looking forward to showing it you all next month.”

We couldn’t interview Hayley and not ask about her Dad! The Hoff turned Bingo Caller back in January at a raucous Bongo’s Bingo session at Camp & Furnace, and Hayley is gutted to be missing out on seeing more of our fabulous city.

She said: “It’s such a tight schedule with the festival that I wont get to spend time exploring the city, but next time I visit lets go on a tour bus or something!”
