The Bold Arms is a cosy traditional pub in the middle of Churchtown and Santa is calling in this month to meet the children.

Lancashire Makers is a Community Interest Company, run by a group of local designers, artists and makers to showcase and sell their work and that of other creatives from the northwest.
The company is non-profit making, enabling participating makers to sell competitively, directly to their audience.
The shop is in the centre of the village, where you can browse for a festive gift with a difference from the collection of textiles, ceramics, glass, jewelry, fine art, photography and more.

Enjoy a festive meal in stunning surroundings
As one of the longest established pubs in the area, locals have enjoyed coming to the Hesketh Arms (previously known as the Black Bull) for more than 200 years.
And you can enjoy the festive menu in this historic pub throughout December.
The menu is two courses from £31.95 and there are also some festive twists to the bar snacks and puddings too.
You can also warm up with a cup of mulled wine in front of a log fire to really get you in the mood for Christmas.

There are also great choices for lunch and dinner and some tempting cocktails.

La Tabella has live music performers on various weekend nights for the rest of December, the perfect accompaniment to their delicious Italian food.
There is also a festive menu priced £24 for two courses, and £29 for three alongside their usual specialties including Gnocchi Milanese and pollo Arrosto.
