First acts announced for The National Lottery’s Big Eurovision Welcome show

The National Lottery’s Big Eurovision Welcome takes place on Sunday 7 May and more tickets will be released on Tuesday 25 April at 12pm.
Joel Dommett will now join AJ Odudu on stage at The National Lottery’s Big Eurovision Welcome outside St George’s Hall, Liverpool on Sunday 7th May, alongside the first performers for the 90-minute outdoor spectacle.
There will be a huge not to Liverpool’s rich music heritage during the show with iconic band Lightning Seeds announced to perform, as well as number one Scouse girl band Atomic Kitten and legends of the 70’s The Real Thing.
The line-up will also include Ukrainian music legend and Eurovision winner Jamala and Eurovision superstar Conchita Wurst.
In addition there will be contributions from TV favourite Shirley Ballas, Liverpool royalty Ricky Tomlinson and Drag Race UK winner The Vivienne.
Welcoming a crowd of nearly 30,000 people – the show includes spectacular aerial and dance performances from some of the UK’s finest National Lottery funded dance groups including; House of Suarez, ZooNation and Motionhouse.
The last few thousand tickets for National Lottery players to attend the show are free* and will be available from bigeurovisionwelcome.co.uk on a first-come, first-served basis from April 25th at 12:00, serve as a thank you to the National Lottery players for the £330M they have contributed to over 3,600 music and cultural projects in Liverpool alone. Those booking tickets will be required to confirm they have a National Lottery ticket that they can present on the day of the event.

iPlayer on Monday 8th May as part of a special programme, ‘Eurovision Welcomes The World’.
