First look at School Lane Hotel which has opened just in time for Eurovision
1 year ago
Located in the 1850s Russell Building in the heart of the Liverpool ONE retail and entertainment destination, School Lane Hotel is the stylish ‘little sister’ of the multi-award-winning Hope Street Hotel.
School Lane Hotel, a brand-new independent hotel, is now open in Liverpool just in time for the Eurovision song contest.
The elegant architectural features of the beautiful building have been lovingly restored, creating 55 bedrooms over five floors – deluxe rooms, family studios and studio suites.
All the rooms are light-filled with original sash windows and three-metre-high ceilings. The entrance and reception areas of the hotel will feature specially commissioned glass installations made by acclaimed glass artist Katerina Christou.
To mirror Hope Street Hotel’s city chic style, all bedroom furniture is bespoke oak, beds are super-king, and bathrooms include rain-dance showers and Temple Spa products.
The build team, Carpenter Build, have been working round the clock to complete and open the hotel by early May just in time for an influx of national and international visitors to Liverpool for the Eurovision song contest.
Dave Brewitt, founder, owner and CEO of Hope Street Hotel said:
“We are very excited to be opening School Lane Hotel at Liverpool ONE in time for Eurovision. We have created something really special and I am incredibly proud of the teams at Carpenter Build and Hope Street Hotel for delivering such an amazing project in such an incredibly short space of time.”
Rob Deacon, Senior Asset Manager at Grosvenor, commented:
“We are hugely excited to see the hotel open at Liverpool ONE, just in time for Eurovision with footfall set to increase at the destination by 25% during this time. The city is going from strength to strength in its position as a leading tourist hotspot, and curating a well-rounded, varied tenant mix is crucial.”
