First sleepout at Hill Dickinson Stadium raises over £33,000 for Everton in the Community

165 supporters spent a memorable night under the stars for Everton in the Community’s ‘Stadium Sleepout’, which was hosted at the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first time.

Blues were treated to a once-in-a-lifetime experience as they settled down at the Blues’ new home, with all funds raised from the evening supporting EitC’s ‘Home Is Where The Heart Is’ (HIWTHI) programme, which provides vital support to vulnerable young people at risk of homelessness.

The night began with a moving Q&A featuring former HIWTHI residents Zahraa and Moyaed, who shared the transformative impact that the programme has had on their lives.

Guests also heard from EitC CEO Sue Gregory, who expressed her heartfelt gratitude and highlighted how vital events like the Sleepout are in sustaining the charity’s life-changing work.

As the night continued, participants set up their sleeping spaces on the concourse and had the chance to visit EitC’s ‘One Stop Shop’ to learn more about the charity’s wide range of community programmes and services.

Supporters were also treated to a warm evening snack and a hearty breakfast in the morning – generously provided by Aramark.

A special thank you goes to Castore, the Club’s official kit supplier, who kindly donated 200 training tops for all guests to take home as a souvenir.

Reflecting on the success of the event, EitC CEO Sue Gregory said:

“Our first Stadium Sleepout at the new ground marks a truly special milestone for Everton in the Community.

“It was inspiring to see so many supporters come together, braving the cold night to stand in solidarity with young people facing homelessness.

“Nights like this remind us of what makes the Everton Family so unique – compassion, unity and an unwavering commitment to our community.”

EitC’s first Stadium Sleepout at the new ground represents a landmark moment in the charity’s history.

Though the Club has moved to a new home, EitC remains deeply rooted in the heart of L4, continuing to build on Everton’s strong community legacy and providing ongoing support to local residents and the wider community.
