Flight Club announces when it will open at Liverpool ONE
6 months ago
Flight Club – the lively bar known for its striking fairground-inspired décor, fantastically fun atmosphere, and addictive Social Darts experience – will open in Liverpool this summer on 23 August, perfectly timed for bank holiday festivities.
Located at Liverpool ONE, this sleek new venue is the 13th UK opening for Flight Club. Offering a one-of-a-kind social experience, Liverpudlians can expect semi-private oche areas arranged over two floors, two glorious bars, a ground-floor outdoor terrace, a mezzanine seating area overlooking all the action below, and a huge first-floor balcony looking out towards Chavasse Park. On the menu, guests will find a mix of crowd-pleasing small plates and sourdough pizzas, along with a standout cocktail selection.
Flight Club’s Social Darts experience has completely reimagined the traditional game, taking darts into the 21st Century with fun, fast-paced multi-player games that anyone can play.
The bar promises guests unexpected, ridiculous, joy – whether engaging in a game of darts or not. Its winning combination of delicious food and drink, strikingly unique interior design, banging DJ sets, and general atmosphere of unrivalled merriment makes for the ideal spot for memorable moments with friends.
The setting: All the fun of the fairground
Located on the terrace level of Liverpool One, in the unit previously held by Boujee Bar, Flight Club Liverpool is decked out in the classic Flight Club style. It combines the fun of the fairground with nods to the Victorian era and all the best bits of a traditional British pub. Think fairground-style signage and lighting that blinks in time to the music, panelling, bold floral prints, and Victorian-style paintings featuring nods to Liverpool landmarks.
There are treasures and trinkets in every corner to surprise and delight, including clocks and barometers of varying sizes on the walls, an entire area dedicated to vintage porcelain dogs, reclaimed antique furniture pieces and a fairground carousel horse.
The venue is 11,000 sq/ft, with 16 oches and a capacity of 350 people.
Bust some moves on the most unique dancefloor in town
Once the party really gets going at Flight Club Liverpool, groups of friends can cram themselves onto a dancefloor with a difference for a boogie they’ll never forget. Flight Club’s iconic red Disco Phone Booth blasts bangers guaranteed to get anyone dancing. Just step inside, pick up the handset and dial for your favourite tune.
Darts revolutionised
First-time visitors to Flight Club should leave any pre-conceptions about darts at the door.
This revamped version of darts has had a seriously high-tech makeover. There’s no need for arithmetic in this game, as cameras track and automatically score every dart thrown. Live action replays appear on screen during the session, and later, sharable stories of the best moments are delivered directly to guests’ phones.
Perfect for groups of friends, Flight Club throws the traditional two-player game out the window. Social Darts, Flight Club’s name for its new and improved version of darts, can accommodate 12 people around an oche. And, ideal for big groups or corporate events, multiple oches can be connected to allow up to 350 players to join epic tournaments hosted by an expert Gamesmaster.
There are six immersive and fast-paced games to choose from. Games include ‘Demolition’, which sees players start with 180 points, and take turns throwing their darts, with the aim of getting to 0. Unlike traditional darts, there’s no need to finish on a double to win, making it easier for those who have never played before. In the game ‘Killer’, players must hit their assigned number three times to become a killer. When they achieve killer status, they must hit other players’ numbers to try and knock them out. The winner is the last one standing.
Small plates, sharing pizzas and spectacular cocktails
Guests at Flight Club Liverpool will have an impressive selection of food and cocktails to sample.
Dishes perfect for sharing include 24-hour pulled pork bao buns, buttermilk chicken bites, spiced cauliflower wings, sourdough pizza paddles, and loaded fries.
The extensive cocktail menu includes signature cocktails, classics with a twist like the toffee apple old fashioned, cocktail slushies – perfect for balmy summer evenings and sharing trophy cocktails, served in a show-stopping trophy cup – the best way to toast the Social Darts champions.
Bottomless brunch with a twist
Fans of a brunch session will love Flight Club’s take on everyone’s favourite weekend pastime. Available on Saturdays and Sundays for two hours, guests can quaff a bottle of Prosecco each and enjoy unlimited pizza from start to finish. Tickets are £35 and include 60 minutes of gameplay at the oche and another 60 minutes to continue the drink and pizza party around a table. Party vibes are guaranteed as the resident DJ blasts the tunes throughout the day.
Steve Moore, CEO and co-founder of Flight Club, said:
“Liverpool is so well known for being an epic night out and has been on our hit list for years. We were so excited when the Liverpool ONE site came up – the location, terrace and views overlooking the park felt like the perfect fit, and now we’re finally getting ready to open our doors. We can’t wait to start welcoming everyone up to the throwline and showing the people of Liverpool what the Flight Club experience is about.”
