Footy fans support Liverpool’s rough sleepers with new range of t-shirts
3 years ago

With the footy back again, and Liverpool FC celebrating their victory as league winners, two local lads have come together and set up a brand new online t-shirt company to celebrate Jurgen and the boys.
The online shop www.fortheshirt.co.uk will also be donating 10% of the sale of every t-shirt to local charity The Papercup Project.
Adam Boakes, one of the team behind the idea said “when Liverpool won the league we thought it would be good to create some unique t-shirts for fans, and also to give back at the same time. Paper Cup Project is a charity that does great work in Liverpool with the homeless, so it’s great to support them.”
Paper Cup Project is a group of volunteers who are supported by a number of local businesses to provide food, clothing and a friendly listening ear to the city’s growing homeless community. Spear headed by Michelle Langan, the not-for-profit charity relies on the kindness of others to be able to offer a hot meal, clean, warm clothes and sometimes just a smile or a hug, to those most in need.
Founder of the Paper Cup Project Michelle Langan told us, “Liverpool is city well known for it’s generosity and passion for football. This ties both of those up in a nice way.”
