Liverpool Disco Festival, Hustle and Hope Street Jazz Collective have teamed up with popular Hope Street venue Frederiks to launch a brand new series of standout day-to-dusk parties.
Kicking off on Saturday 28 September at 1pm, ‘Social Club’ brings together seasoned selectors playing a wide range of soulful and jazzy disco, house and world-wide sounds.
The inaugural party features special guest Aroop Roy playing an extended set between 3pm-6pm.
Acclaimed by DJ Gilles Peterson as ‘a brilliant producer who never fails’ Aroop is enjoying huge momentum, recently causing wild scenes with his sets at Fabric, Printworks, Defected Croatia, Hi Ibiza and We Out Here festivals.
Joining the dots between electronic music and borderless organic sounds, Aroop is joined by rising star Lev, (Glitterbox / Raising People) alongside the Hope Street Jazz crew, James Morgan, Glory To, Phia and more.
With special offers on drinks and all Pizzas for £5, Social Club will be a full venue takeover, with organisers promising an exclusive and immersive visual experience.
Talking about the weekend’s event, joint organiser James Morgan said:
“We’ve a punchy sound install going into Frederiks and ditched the festival style way of programming cramped DJ sets for extended ones, giving artists more time to express themselves which we know guests will respond to.”
John Dean of Hope Street Jazz added:
“Fred’s is the perfect venue for day parties, it’s super imitate so guests can get up close with artists – the daytime party concept is just getting bigger and bigger and suits the direction we want to take with Frederiks.”
