Free fun this half term as Must-See Month launches in Liverpool

Half-term is just around the corner, and Liverpool is rolling out an incredible lineup of free activities as part of Must-See Month, organised by Liverpool BID Company.
Running from 17 February – 17 March, Must-See Month is a celebration of culture and encourages people to explore something new in the city.
From arts and crafts to interactive exhibitions and even a tour of the solar system, there’s something for everyone to enjoy—without spending a penny!
Here are some of the top family-friendly activities happening this half-term:
Craft and Create
Walker Art Gallery: 20 & 21 February

Spend time together as a family this half term getting creative, making memories and something special to take home with you.

Block Printing at the Bluecoat
Bluecoat: Wed 19 Feb – 1.00pm -3.00pm (Free, drop in anytime)

Children and their grown ups are invited to create their own unique block prints inspired by the Bluecoat building.

Tiddlers: Seaside Explorers
World Museum: Thursday 20 February 10.00am – 11.00am

Join World Museum every Thursday morning in the Aquarium for Tiddlers – Seaside Explorers. Enjoy a range of fun activities and games linked to underwater animals.
This session is ideal for parents with preschool age children and babies or nursery groups. This is a relaxed drop in activity and no booking necessary. Older siblings are welcome too!

Let your creativity bloom during February half term with free family activities inspired by The Plant That Stowed Away. The Learning Space is open every day for visiting families- a space to relax and create with art games, colouring-in, books, toys and more!

Half term holiday family fun at Liverpool Cathedral
Liverpool Cathedral: Wednesday, 19 February, 11.00am – 12.00pm

Join Liverpool Cathedral’s Education team for arts and crafts activities in the February half-term holidays.
Each family-friendly session is free and lasts up to 45 minutes. All sessions must be pre-booked and each person attending is required to have a ticket.

Audio universe: tour of the solar system
World Museum: 22 February 2025

Join the World Museum for a planetarium show that can be enjoyed irrespective of level of vision.
All of the objects in space are represented with rich sounds as well as with incredible visuals. The audience can listen to the stars appear and hear the planets orbit around their heads.

Mildred’s Albert Dock Art Trail
Tate Liverpool: During opening hours

Mildred, Tate’s art-loving cat, wants you to help her find 6 images of artworks placed around the inner quay of the Royal Albert Dock. The Art Trail is a great way for families to spend time together, doing something that is both creative and active. The Art Trail is available from the ground floor.
This is a self-led, free, family activity suitable for children aged 7-11. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own pencils to complete the trail.

Walker Art Gallery: Tuesdays

Sometimes people are worried about bringing their little ones to an art gallery in case they make a noise or they’re concerned that there won’t be anything there to interest them.
Not at the Walker!
This on-gallery session will introduce little ones to some of the Walkers collections through the use of rhythm, familiar songs, and rhymes. Come along and make some noise with us in this beautiful environment.
