Free half term football camp backed by Trent Alexander-Arnold launches in Walton

A free half term football camp supported by Trent Alexander-Arnold is coming to Walton this week, giving young players the chance to access elite coaching in a professional indoor setting.

The camp will run on Thursday 19 and Friday 20 February from 10am to 2pm at KKZ Performance Centre and is open to children aged six to 11.

Based on Cherry Lane, the Walton facility is Liverpool’s first indoor one-to-one football performance centre, offering specialist coaching from grassroots through to academy and professional level. It was founded by former professional footballer Andrai Jones and has developed a strong reputation for player-focused training.

The half term sessions will be led by Jones alongside fellow former professional footballer Kris Owens, bringing high-level experience to the coaching programme.

The initiative has been designed to give back to the local community by removing financial barriers and creating opportunities for young players to develop their skills in a supportive environment.

Across the two days, children will take part in structured coaching, small-sided games and skill challenges, with prizes available to be won. Food will also be provided for all participants.

Andrai Jones said the aim of the camp is to create opportunities for young players who may not usually have access to this level of coaching, helping them build confidence and enjoy the game.

Kris Owens added that supporting young players in Liverpool is important, and the focus is on making sure every child has a positive and memorable half term experience.

Places are limited and will be allocated through a random selection process. To enter, participants need to engage with the official post on KKZ Coaching’s Instagram by tagging two people in the comments and sharing the post to their story. Winners will be selected at random on Wednesday morning.

The camp takes place at KKZ Performance Centre on Cherry Lane in Walton.
