We’re back with your Ultimate Guide to what’s on in Liverpool during the first week of 2017!
It’s a week of new beginnings and last chances as panto’s wrap up and the new year attractions line up to entertain us. From fashion to modern art, baby giraffes and lots of tasty dining offers, here’s your Ultimate Guide to what’s on in Liverpool.
Monday 2nd January – Bank Holiday
A Winter Walk
Monday is the last day of freedom before lots of us go back to work so why not make the most of the dry weather and get out and about in the fresh air. Check out our top 9 winter walks for free, family fun.

The Final Countdown
If you’ve not had chance to experience the 4d light spectacular, ‘Countdown to Christmas’ at the Albert Dock, we highly recommend heading down there this evening for the final show. Watch in amazement as the Albert Dock clock-keeper invites you to take a peak inside the inner workings of the Christmas clock, with music, lights and a little bit of magic. Tuesday 3rd January
Dancing on Ice
Tuesday is your last chance to hit the ice (not literally) as the Liverpool Ice Festival packs up after a great winter season at the Pier Head. The Cats Whiskers
Where else will you find a giant black cat in the middle of an art gallery and a huge dome where you can watch a modern art film by a Turner-Prize winning, Birkenhead-born artist? Head on over to the Walker Art Gallery, William Brown Street to experience Zoo Logic by Mark Leckey which features an inflating Felix (to a mind boggling sixe) and the little ones can get messy at the Big Art kids section. You’re having a Giraffe
