The Chocolate Cellar
The Chocolate Cellar, which has become famous for creating an amazing array of both sweet and savoury snacks for chocoholics. Chocolate-dipped pretzels, strawberries, chilli-chocolate and macaroons are just some of the treats sold by The Chocolate Cellar through its online shop, farmersâ markets and other local outlets. The company also runs chocolate-making sessions for all ages

Chocolate Lovers Hamper from Delifonseca
Delifonseca Dockside, located on Brunswick Quay, is serving up a selection of âcrazily goodâ cakes this week, devised by Merseyside Masterchef Champion Claire Lara. Perfect for Chocolate Week, the âDeath by Chocolate Cakeâ features layers of chocolate sponge, perfectly topped by white chocolate, strawberries and raspberries. Go on, treat yourself to s BIG slice!
Trattoria 51, Old Hall Street
Trattoria 51 is also welcoming Chocolate lovers. The restaurant has become a firm favourite with sweet-toothed diners, as a result of its extensive assortment of indulgent dessert options â many of which are a chocolate loverâs dream. From classic Tiramisu to hearty chocolate brownies and not forgetting Nutella filled Calzone…..what are you waiting for?
Quay Confectionery, The Colonnades, Albert Dock
If the usual brands just doesn’t do it for you, how about some cult American candy? Head to Quay Confectionery on the Albert Dock for your hit of Hersheyâs Kisses, and while it’s not chocolate, who can say no to a Twinkie? Fill your boots with all manner of sweet treats from jelly beans to Willy Wonka-esque lollipops….oh and of course shed loads of chocolatey indulgence!
Seafood Week
With us being a port city and all of our Great Granddads having some sort of link with the docks & the sea we of course have a feast of beautiful fresh seafood on offer in our city’s restaurants, perfect for National Seafood Week.
Quayside Marina Bar and Grill, Coburg Wharf
Oysters and Fizz at the Quayside Marina Bar and Grill is a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon, available from 5pm. We can also highly recommend the salt and pepper tiger prawns to alongside the beautiful view of the waterfront.
La Tasca, Queen Square
OK we know a big chain like La Tasca might be frowned upon by some proper foodies, but do you know what – the food is fit and funny enough, so are some of the staff! So we had to include it. Treat yourself to a little bit of Spanish fare at La Tasca during Seafood Week. Choose from tapas , Gambas Pil Pil (king prawns cooked in garlic) Pescado Rebozado (deep fried white fish in beer batter) to gigantic portions of paella with steamed muscles, white fish and squid. Wrap up warm and sit out under the terrace heaters with your mates, Barcelona style!
Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, Chapel Street
You might not consider a steakhouse for fish dishes but, having undergone a fabulous revamp, MPW Liverpool is now offering a whole host of starters and mains that have Marco’s signature touch. Try the lobster macaroni, Wheeler’s Prawn Cocktail or the yellowfin seared tuna steak for a filling alternative to steak! (But leave room to try their UH-MAY-ZING desserts too!). HOST, Hope Street
The nibbles and small plate offerings at HOST are just perfect for a little pit-stop with a glass of wine pre-theatre or lazy weekend afternoon. The krupup shrimp crackers, crisp fried squid and salmon tataki are absolutely divine and great to share with a friend over a good gossip in the smartest neighbourhood in town.
