Everybody Dance, legendary American band, Chic featuring Nile Rodgers is coming to Liverpool this Autumn and we’re already in a glitter ball frenzy.
Unless you’ve been living under the Runcorn Bridge since the late 70’s, you’ll know at least one Chic song but if you’re anything like us, you’ve got a good 7 or 8 timeless Chic tracks on your Spotify or Itunes playlists. From the instantly recognisable ‘Le Freak’, ‘I Want Your Love’ and ‘Good Times’ to the contemporary ‘Get Lucky’, Chic are the stalwart of dancefloor fillers the world over.

It’s well known that Nile is a man of many talents and his productions skills shone brightly on Bowie’s Let’s Dance’ album of 1983.

Ahhhh Freak Out! This legendary 70’s track sold more than 7 million copies and spent 7 weeks at the top of the disco charts. Wonder if Nile’s lucky number is 7?

One of Diana Ross’ most famous singles, ‘I’m Coming Out’ was written by Nile and fellow Chic band member Bernard Edwards and was released to critical acclaim back in 1980. Sing it now……’I’m Coming Out, I want the world to know….’.
8 – Give Me Your Love, Sigala Ft John Newman & Nile Rodgers
Nile got funky last year with a fresh new sound from Sigala and John Newman and produced one of the biggest tunes of the year in ‘Give Me Your Love’.
9 – Like A Virgin, Madonna
Oh yes, you read that right. Nile did indeed play a part in producing possibly one of the most famous and iconic tracks of all time. ‘Like A Virgin’ propelled Madge to international stardom with a pinch of controversy!

We’re finishing our playlist with one of our favourite ever Chic tracks, ‘I’ll Be There’. We love everything about it, the lyrics, the beat, the throwback to the bands other hits, the video……top class.
