This weekend, The Liverpool Village is launching Glastonferry Festival, a monthly mini festival for all music fans. The family friendly event is a homage to some of the world’s best known bands, rolled up into one weekend of live music and fun for all.

Glastonferry will be taking over the Liverpool’s iconic Pier Head across 3 weekends this summer including both the August bank holiday weekends as part of The Liverpool Village festivities. Free to enter, Glastonferry opens 9th and 10th July with Saturday 9th dedicated to The Jam to coincide with the brand new exhibition, About the Young Idea, which is a tribute to the band and their fans and is currently on show at the Cunard Building.

Sunday 10th will see Riverside Rocks take over on day two with a tribute to the best rock bands in the world such as The Eagles, AC/DC and Johnny Cash to name but a few.

While enjoying the live sounds, die-hard fans can relive the greatest concerts through the years as four large screens project classic rock footage from historic gigs and festivals including genuine concert footage, music videos and behind the scenes documentary footage. Glastonferry is pure rock indulgence.

Martin O’Shea, The Liverpool Village managing director said:
