Go green for the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity this February
4 years ago

The new Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Liverpool will open its doors this year revolutionising cancer care in our city.
February is time to Go Green for The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity and transform cancer care for people in the region.
With Liverpool’s first cancer hospital set to open its doors to patients in just a few months, 2020 is a big year for the charity and there’s never been a more important time to give your support.
Let’s Go Green, the annual fundraising drive takes place from February 1-9, with lots of ways you can get involved.
The cancer centre in Wirral will be holding a ‘dress in green day’, a green gunge challenge, bake sales and a tombola, while other local companies and schools are doing the same. Landmarks and buildings across Merseyside & Cheshire will also light up green to commemorate the fundraising event, which coincides with World Cancer Day on 4th February.
The highlight of the week will be 3-2-1 Run Green, in the grounds of The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, in Wirral, on February 9. You can run, jog or walk the 2k or 5k route, filled with obstacles while being bombarded with green power paint.
With £5m left to raise towards the building of their new specialist hospital in Liverpool (pictured) along with improvements to the Wirral site, you could take part and make a huge difference for local people with cancer, while having lots of fun.
