It’s a race like no other. There’s a reason the world stops to watch The Randox Grand National Festival at Aintree Racecourse. From the length of the course to the size of the crowd, this is an epic event.

Gates open at 10am and with the first race taking place at 1.20pm – The William Hill Handicap Hurdle – there’s plenty of time to settle down and crack open the fizz. The final race, The Weatherbys nhstallions.co.uk Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race, will run at 5.35pm.

Travelling to Aintree
The easiest way to travel to Aintree Racecourse is by train. Merseyrail have updated their timetable for travelling to today’s Grand National. They are operating a seven-and-a-half minute service running between Liverpool city centre and Aintree station.
Keep an eye out for all the street performers and live entertainment too!
