Great Baltic Warehouse takes you to the slopes for an Après Party this Bank holiday weekend

The slopes may be closing on the continent, but there’s an 80m video wall of Après Ski heading to the Baltic this May Bank Holiday weekend.

Don’t pack up your skis just yet! There’s no time for end of season blues this May bank holiday weekend as Switch Events brings the biggest après ski party to the Baltic Triangle for one night only.

The Great Baltic Warehouse, Greenland Street is currently being kitted out with an insane AV rig out as lifelong friends, AV specialists & event organisers, John Gilchrist and Danny Thompson merge their expertise in one huge bank holiday Sunday bonanza. A colossal 80m x 4m high video wall will surround the Great Baltic Warehouse venue to instantly transport guests to the French Alps – and that’s just for starters!

Throwing everything and the kitchen sink at this Jägermeister and Aperol sponsored event, you can expect an live band and DJ combo set by Icon Live, belting out classics from Robin S to Jess Glynne and everything in between. Prepare to go ‘off-piste’ as shots are served on snowboards, there’s a Jager ice luge, steins of beer, an Aperol spritz bar, cocktails, beer pong, alpine games and ball pool hot tub on offer for the ultimate selfies.

Speaking of Instagram worthiness – the Après Ski party is also hosting  an alpine photo booth backdrop with ski equipment accessories – just in case you don’t follow the “ski wear encouraged’ dress policy. Dig out your knitted headbands and ski goggles and celebrate the end of the season in style!

The party begins at 8pm on bank holiday Sunday 5th May with Après girls and live stage performers on hand to help get the party started and the Jagermeister flowing.

Having previously managed city centre venues such as Alma De Cuba and Empire, plus a wealth of experience at UK festivals like Creamfields and V, John and Danny have gone all out to make this a show-stopping, memorable event.

John Gilchrist said: “People keep asking me to open my own venue in Liverpool and I’m sure one day I will but lots of my friends and ex regulars are going out less and less often due to family commitments and in pursuit of a healthier lifestyle.

“It felt like a natural progression to cater to their needs and put on a series of events throughout the year where we can have huge parties where people can organise babysitters, ask permission off their PT’s and properly plan their hangover days.

“We just want to create a great vibe where people can party with their friends in a friendly, safe environment and see of the ski season in style.”

Co Founder Danny Thompson added: “Icon Events is constantly challenged to produce new exciting shows that break boundaries, we thought it was only natural to put on a show for ourselves to showcase some of the things we can do. This immersive clubbing experience will be something new to everyone and we are excited to provide it. It should be something truly memorable“
