Guide Live: We take a look at the shocking Littlewoods Building Fire & get ready to Reminisce
5 years ago

It was a late night for the Merseyside Fire & Rescue services as the iconic Littlewoods Building fire burned long into the night. Crews arrived just 4 minutes after reports of a fire on the Edge Lane site and battled to control and contain the blaze which has affected around 40% of the building.
What damage the fire has caused will be determined in the coming days, and the knock on effect on the long term plans for the site to become Liverpool Film Studios with investment from Twickenham Film Studios. Click here to catch up on how the night unfolded. Huge thanks and much respect to Merseyside Fire & Rescue and all who worked tirelessly through the night to extinguish the fire.
Elsewhere, we’ve got a jam packed week in the city as Autumn gets into full swing and we make a start on all that lovely winter warming food. Why not ditch your soggy butties this Thursday lunchtime and check out the Bite bus. Exchange Flags is welcoming this pop up, on the first Thursday of the month from 12-2pm. It will serve up curries, tacos, hot dogs and more.
From food to drink, the highly anticipated, The Gin To My Tonic Show throws open it’s doors at Exhibition Centre Liverpool from 6pm on Friday for a weekend of everything gin! Some tickets still available here.
We’ve got more weekend plans in the form of Reminisce Festival which returns for an even bigger and better 2018 gathering. Featuring an incredible line up of DJ’s and Live PA’s including Rosala, 2UNLIMITED, Sibyl and of course, Lee Butler at the helm, who’s on the final count down to rave and misbehave at Sherdley Park?
