Guide Live: Your roundup for Liverpool on Tuesday 28th August

We are back in the studio with all of your latest on Tuesday 28th August, looking back at Sunday’s Run For Rhys and ahead to this weekend’s huge Fusion Festival at Otterspool Prom.

Plus there’s big news today from Liverpool Gin as work starts on their new Gin Distillery which is opening on Castle Street. Four floors for gin lovers which will include two bars – a premium gin and spirits bar on the ground floor and a premium dark spirits bar at basement level – a specially designed Gin Lab where visitors can make the spirit themselves and a Bartender School.  Guests will also be able to see Liverpool Gin being made in a 600-litre working copper still.

Great British Bake Off returns tonight with 12 new contestants for a brand new series on Channel 4. Will you be watching? Is it ‘Bake Off or Bore Off’?

We also said goodbye to someone who had a real impact on Liverpool’s music scene this weekend. Tony Butler from The Zanzibar sadly died and tributes have flooded social media from the likes of Tea Street Band, The Coral, Pete Wylie and many more.
