So just how Irish are you? If your nan’s cousin’s aunt’s brother in law even so much as visited Dublin for the weekend, you’re in the gang and now have the perfect excuse to toast the shamrock this weekend. As Liverpool shares a long history with the Guinness lovers from across the pond, we’re getting right into the party spirit and lining up a brilliant weekend of painting the town tricolour. From the traditional St Patrick’s Day Parade, to huge club nights, Irish dancing, GREEN beer and of course, a hangover brekkie for Sunday….

Celebrations for Everyone
Paddy’s Day isn’t just about getting out on the ale, okay it’s about 70/30 about the partying but there’s lots of family friendly events to check out this weekend too.
Liverpool St Patrick’s Day Parade 2018
Start your Paddy’s Day weekend off with the official Liverpool St Patrick’s Day Parade 2018 which kicks off at the Old Irish Centre, Mount Pleasant at 1pm and finishes up at Derby Square in the city centre around 2:30pm. There are 7 bands confirmed to play the parade including the City of Liverpool Pipe Band, Liverpool Irish Flute Band and the Katumba Drummers to name just a few.
The official parade route is as follows: Great Orford Street, Mount Pleasant, Hope Street, Hardman Street, Leece Street, Renshaw Street, St Georges Plateau, Roe Street, Hood Street, Crosshall Street, Dale Street & Finally Castle street were the parade will finish at Derby Square. Liverpool Irish Centre, Boundary Lane
Unsurprisingly, Liverpool Irish Centre is a hub of activity this St Patricks Day and will play host to a top night of live music on Friday 16th March as Blackstairs Rebel Band kick start the festivities.
