Halloween on a Wednesday can mean only one thing, a week long celebration of the dark side!
The count down to Halloween in Liverpool is on! If you’re anything like us mad Halloween fans at The Guide HQ, you’ll already have your monstrous make over booked in, ordered your costume and paid for your Halloween club night tickets before the summer ended. If you’re leaving your options open, you’re in for a treat (or should that be trick?).
Whether you’re partying with the kids (ahhhh all those little black cat cuties and mini vampires!), fancy a horror film night or planning a mad one with a horrific hangover, there’s something for you in our 13 for Halloween run down.
For the Kids
First up, look at all these brilliant family friendly events for the kids to enjoy this Halloween in Liverpool. Arts and crafts, disco’s parade and plenty of tricks and treats.
1 – The Monster Halloween Ball, Palm House Sefton Park
The Lantern Company is staging a huge Halloween event at Sefton Park Palm House from 24th – 26th October which involves craft workshops a parade and a Halloween ball. Tickets are selling fast, get yours here.
2 – Sing-a-long Nightmare Before Christmas, Hangar 34
Hangar 34 is playing host to a mass sing along this Halloween and you’re invited. Get your spookiest fancy dress on and get your tickets for sing-along The Nightmare Before Christmas with Jack Skellington! More info and tickets here.
3 – Haunted Hinterlands Halloween Ball
Haunted Hinterlands Halloween Social takes place on Saturday 27th October from 12pm. There’s a disco DJ, arts, sensory, storytelling, a silent disco and more. Find out more and get your tickets here.
4 – Happy Halloween Party, Wigwam Coffee Shop
Grab your Halloween picnic box and prepare for an epic kids party at Wigwam Coffee Shop on 25th October. There’s a spooky disco, picture hunt and a goody bag to take home too. Book your tickets here.
5 – Halloween in the Woods, Childwall Woods
Trees4Kids is hosting a Halloween Extravaganza at Childwall Woods on Sunday 28th October from 1pm. Expect hanging bob apple, best dressed prizes, pumpkin pinata and more. Info here.
6 – Spooktacular Halloween Party, Kidz Fantasy Land
Edge Lane soft play, Kidz Fantasy Land is hosting its very Halloween bash on Saturday 27th October. Face painting, disco and creepy arts and crafts await your little monsters. Call 0151 220 2021 to book your tickets.
7 – MD Productions Halloween Party, The Tapestry
Head to The Tapestry for the MD Productions Halloween Party on 26th October. You’re invited to don your most spooktacular costume, wrap the best mummy and cast a spell or two in the mystical scavenger hunt. Tickets here.
8 – Scouse of Horrors, St Johns Market
There’s a pumpkin hunt full of tricks and treats at St John’s Market’s Scouse of Horrors this month. From the people who brought you the mega Christmas grotto, this fab new family friendly experience is open now til 31st. Details here.
9 – Jungle Fun Halloween Dino Dance, Belle Vale
How do you fancy spending your Halloween making slime, dancing with dinosaurs, cookie decorating and more? Well get your triceratops on and head to Jungle Fun, Belle Vale for the Halloween Dino Dance. Tickets here.
10 – Spooktacular Marine Halloween Party, Crosby Beach
Why not do something different this Halloween in Liverpool? Sand sculptures by torch light, bobbing for apples and prizes for the best costumes are all on offer at the Marine Halloween party on 26th October on Crosby Beach. Find out more here.
11 – The Lodge Pop Up Cinema Screening: Coco
The Lodge is back at The Club House and with it comes the fabulous Pop Up Cinema. On Sunday 28th October you can watch Disney’s Day of the Dead family film, Coco and 3pm. £10 ticket admits one adult and 2 kids. Book here.
12 – Otterspool Adventure Playground Halloween Party
There’s a terrifyingly terrific Halloween party going on at Otterspool Adventure Centre on 31st October from 5pm-7pm. Food and entertainment is included in the ticket price and there’s hot BBQ food for the adults too. More info here.
13 -Velocity Widnes Hair-raising Halloween Party
If your kids are bursting with energy (especially after all those trick or treating sweets), why not take them down to Velocity, Widnes for a Hair-Raising Halloween Party. On 31st October there will be competitions, prizes, games and a 2 hour bounce. Book in here.

1 – Ghost Hunt, Croxteth Hall
From 8pm until 2am you’re invited to join DeadLive on a ghost hunt at Croxteth Hall. Time has stood still and through vigils, seances, tours and table tipping, you might just connect with the other side. Booking here.
2 – Halloween at Baltic Market

3 – Night of the Dead Halloween Party, The Workshop
Crosby eatery, The Workshop is putting on a Night of the Dead party on 27th October. Get your New Orleans fancy dress sorted and bust some moves to the lates and greats including Prince, Amy and more. Details here.
4 – Tainted Love Halloween, Camp & Furnace
It wouldn’t be Halloween in Liverpool without a Tainted Love party. Thriller Night takes place on Friday 2nd November and is bringing the horrors of the 80’s back! Double Denim, scrunchies, party frocks, you name it. Info here.
5 – Psycho, Liverpool Philharmonic
One of the most iconic horror films ever made gets a big screen show at the Philharmonic on 31st October, will a full orchestra. Get ready for those strings, you’ll going to feel the hairs on your neck stand up for this one. Booking here.
6 – Halloween BIG Weekender, OMG Liverpool
There’s two whole nights of Halloween fun at OMG Liverpool and you’re invited to unleash your inner diva demon and dress to scare. Super cheap drinks, fabulous themed venue and naughty behaviour! More info here.
7 – Bongo’s Bingo Halloween Special with Fuse ODG
Afrobeat and Hip Hop phenomenon, Fuse ODG will be hitting the road with Bongo’s Bingo as part of the mad Halloween Tour. 31st October to 3rd November at Camp & Furnace is the place to be. Details here.
8 – ‘Halloween’ 40th Anniversary Screening, FACT
Halloween in Liverpool isn’t all about fancy dress and themed cocktails. If you can’t wait until the 31st to get stuck into the horror films, head to FACT on Wednesday 10th October as iconic flick, Halloween gets a special screening. Jamie Lee Curtis plays a blinder. Details here.
9 – Lost in Music Halloween Special, CIRCO
Circo will be transformed into the spooky spectacular with lots of surprises in store! There will be a mystery hunt with prizes to be won and Lee Butler, Mark Armstrong and more will be gracing the decks with a live PA from Angie Brown!! Tickets here.
10 – Ghoulies Haunted House, Dale St
You’re invited to get grabbed by the ghoulies this Halloween as Dale Street’s resident scare attraction turns up the terror every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. The safe words are ‘I Want My Mummy’…write that down, you’re going to need them. More info and booking here.
11 – Chamber of Horrors: Gallows Eve, St George’s Hall
We’re not sure how Chamber of Horrors at St George’s Hall could top the 2017 Halloween experience, but they’ve done it! From 28th-31st October you can hear and experience the tales of the last known souls to head to the Gallows in the historic hall. Eeek! Info here.
12 – Katumba Halloween Drumming Parade
Halloween in Liverpool without a parade!? No chance. Nightmare on Bold St is coming! Saturday 27th October will see Bold St transformed with a Halloween parade from the Katumba Drummers, Bring the Fire and Viva Brazil, from 9pm. Do not miss this spectacle. Info here.
13 – Farmaggedon
