These are the DJ’s getting behind the decks at Sefton Park this Summer.
LIMF is back at Sefton Park on 20-21st July 2019 for a weekend packed with huge artists, bands and of course world class DJ’s. The True School Club House and Shubz DJ Tent both make a welcome return after proving hugely popular last year.
Along with the colossal Central Stage, LIMF is set to see no less than 30 DJ’s take to the decks. From pioneers such as Jazzie B and Norman Jay to big club crowd pleasers from SIGMA, M-22 and Liverpool’s own Anton Powers, it’s going to go off!
From 31 May ticket prices increase from ÂŁ6 to ÂŁ11 so you NEED to get booking and you can do that and see the full lineup on the LIMF website here www.LIMFestival.com
Here’s 10 DJ’s you’ll see at LIMF 2019
1 –Â SIGMA
Drum and base duo Sigma join live musicians on Central Stage at LIMF as part of the 3Beat @ 30 celebrations. Saturday’s headliners will hit the decks with their biggest hits and pay homage to the Liverpool label that’s produced so many bangers. We’re hoping to hear ‘Nobody to Love’ blasting out at Sefton Park.
2 – Anton Powers
Also playing Central Stage at LIMF on Saturday, Liverpool’s own Anton Powers will also take to the decks in celebration of 3Beat, a label he’s played a pivot role in since the early noughties. You just know the home crowd is going to go off whatever he decides to drop. ‘Alone No More’ is our first choice.
3 – M-22
Matt James and Frank Saunders, the guys behind M-22 have produced some of the biggest summer tunes we’ve sang along to in recent years. ‘First Time’ featuring Medina and ‘How Does it Feel’ are right up there with our favourite club tracks to belt out and LIMF will be jumping to them this July too.
4 – Norman Jay MBE
Returning to LIMF, the godfather of funk, soul, jazz, ska, Norman Jay MBE plays the True School Club House on Saturday. Without a doubt one of the most respected DJs in the world today, Norman Jay MBE is loved by fans and peers alike thanks to his unwavering dedication to music over the last few decades.
5 – Jazzie B
Founding member of Soul II Soul, Jazzie B is also on the decks at LIMF’s True School Club House on Saturday. He’s worked with some of the biggest names in the industry as well as enjoying his own success with the band. Now an OBE, founder of the Featured Artists’ Coalition and an Ivor Novello award winner, Jazzie B is a true pioneer of music.
More: This is why you need to get your LIMF tickets before 31st May 2019.Â
6 – No Fakin DJ’s
Another DJ outfit making a LIMF comeback is No Fakin DJ’s. Brothers Ciaran and Paddy Quinn have amassed legions of fans thanks to their seamless blend of hip hop, jazz, funk, soul, disco and reggae. These Liverpool lads are bound to have the crowd jumping in the True School Club House on Saturday.Â
7 – Original Dodger
Re-rewind! The Original Dodger duo Mark Hill and Pete Devereaux are back. Having dominated the late 90’s and early noughties with those stomping garage records we all loved, plus giving Craig David’s early career a massive boost, they play the True School Club House stage at LIMF on Sunday. Ohh you’re moving too fast!
8 –Â BBC 1XTRA Melody Kane & Nick Bright
Keeping the festival vibes flowing in between the Central Stage acts at LIMF falls to BBC 1Xtra’s DJ Melody Kane and Nick Bright. One of the most talented and energetic killer club DJ’s around, Melody Kane brings sass and beats to Sefton Park on Saturday closely followed by former footballer turned DJ Nick Bight who will rip your Sunday at LIMF, right up.
9 – Sian Anderson
25-year-old Sian Anderson is a one-woman media powerhouse and she’s bringing the wheels of steel to The Shubz DJ Tent at LIMF on Sunday. She’s got a big year lined up with Jägermeister (yaassss) and she’s smashing her BBC Radio 1Xtra show so don’t miss your chance to see her in action at Sefton Park.
10 – Kenny Allstar
Londoner DJ Kenny Allstar hits The Shubz DJ Tent on Saturday at LIMF. With his finger on the pulse when it comes to new music, rappers and rhymes, we reckon this will be an unmissable set packed with big beats and hard hitting lyrics.
