Here’s 8 Liverpool bars serving up ice cold cocktails this summer

Sometimes a glass of wine just isn’t enough to quench our thirst and it’s about to get seriously hot in the city.

Summer has officially arrived and we’re whacking on the factor 30 in preparation for lazy afternoons spent on rooftop bars, terraces and beer gardens, sipping our favourite drinks. With temperatures set to soar, a flat, warm glass of wine or pint just isn’t going to cut it, so we’ve been on a mission to seek out the best summer coolers to enjoy while we top up our tans. With more Liverpool bars than ever before, this was no easy task!

Here’s 8 Liverpool bars serving up drinks with a Summer 2018 twist…

1 – Gin Slushies, Baltic Market

Give your fave Gin an icy twist. Baltic Market celebrates it’s 1st birthday this summer and where better to raise a toast with a gin slushie, than at Cain’s Brewery Village.

2 – Liverpool Lolly, NYL Restaurant & Cocktail Bar

NYL Restaurant & Cocktail Bar, North John  Street offers up The Liverpool Collection Cocktail menu featuring this belter, The Liverpool Lolly. Loaded with Liverpool Rum, strawberry, lime and an ice lolly dipped in prosecco, we guarantee you’ll Instagram this one before you even taste it!

3 – Boozy Shakes, Almost Famous

Almost Famous, Parr Street is basically burger heaven and the only way to deal with meat sweats in this weather is with a boozy milkshake! Our fave is the fully loaded strawberry shake with a shot (or two) of cherry sourz!

4 – Baller Colada, Be At One

Be At One, Seel Street has probably the most extensive cocktail list for a Liverpool bar and the Baller Colada is currently topping our list of thirst quenching mixes. Mixed with Ciroc Pineapple vodka, Mumm Champagne, pineapple, coconut & gold dust, this is a selfie waiting to happen.

5 – Pineapple & Coconut Mojito, The Club House

The Club House has your summer wrapped up. Gorgeous surroundings, sunny days on the green, delicious smells from the outdoor kitchen (order hanging kebabs for a mid-shop lunch, they’re divine) and of course amazing cocktails. The Pineapple & Coconut Mojito is summer in a glass.

6 – Secret Gin Vase, The Florist

It’s summer all year round at Liverpool bar and restaurant The Florist, Hardman Street, as the stunning floral interior design brings the outside, in. With so many cocktails and an in-house Budvar tank, there are plenty of ways to cool off, however we love the sophistication of the Secret Gin Vase, perfect for sharing.

7 – Cherry Cola Margarita, Crazy Pedro’s

When your favourite old school flavours combine in an alcoholic drink, plus there’s ridiculous amounts of amazing pizza to choose from AND an outside suntrap of a terrace to enjoy it on, summers will never be boring. We love the Cherry Cola Frozen Margarita, a mix of tequila, Triple Sec, lime, agave, cherry and Coke. Winner!

8 – Bird & The Bees, Courtyard Bar & Kitchen

Queen Square has the perfect spot for summer sipping, Courtyard Bar & Kitchen offers up a brilliant food menu, bar bites, incredible views of St George’s Hall (especially at night when it’s all lit up and looking sparkly) plus a great outdoor terrace and fab cocktails. Our current faves are the Birds and the Bees and the Gin and Aperol Spring Back!

Whichever summer bev you’re sipping, remember to drink responsibly and stick some sun cream on too, it’s going to be a hot one.
