Here’s what’s on in Liverpool this May bank holiday weekend

Did someone say three-day weekend!


It’s the final bank holiday of spring and we’re going out with a three day weekend crammed full of club nights, all day parties, live music, comedy, markets, art, food and loads more. This is the very best of what’s on in Liverpool this May bank holiday weekend.


Friday 24th May

Bundobust Bold Street

Bold Street welcomes Indian/Pakistani street food from BundoBust on Friday with a grand opening party. Get down there from 5pm to pick up a free tote filled with goodies (first 50 people) and get your chops round some amazing new eats. More info here.

OMG Drag Weekender

Calling all Drag stars! There’s a full on Drag Weekender happening at OMG Liverpool this bank holiday weekend. Get your fiercest look nailed for a free bomb, Drag Race screening and drinks offers on all night. More info here. 

Da Funk, Attic Bar

Attic Bar, Parr Street hosts its brand new night, Da Funk on its refurbed terrace on Friday night. DJ’s from 6pm with the main event, bursting with electronic and dance anthems from 9pm. More info here. 

Friday Night Special Bidston Ghosts

If you loved The Witching Hour Wirral at Birkenhead Park last week, this one is for you. Join a walking tour and explore Bidston Hill after dark to learn more about the Witches and legends that haunt this part of Wirral. More info and bookings here. 

A Self-help Guide to being in Love with Jeremy Corbyn, Unity Theatre

Following the success of her first poetry show, Burning Books which received 5* reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe, Jess Green returns with a lyrical, powerful and funny take on modern politics with’ A Self-help guide to being in love with Jeremy Corbyn’ at the Unity. More info here.

Incredible 11, Birdies Bar

The Incredible 11 are back at Birdies Bar, Parliament Street on Friday night from 7pm on Friday with all your fave 90’s and 00’s hip hop classics. Expect a mass sing along and spitting rhymes. Free tickets here.

Saturday 25th May

Lost Garden Party, Club Tropicana, Constellations

Everyone’s favourite garden party is back. Get to Constellations on Saturday for LOST Club Tropicana all dayer from 2pm Dan Fresco, Liam Ross and more on the decks, inflatables, outdoor staging, cocktail bar and loads more. Tickets here. 

Lovely Laura & Ben Santiago, Hangar 34

The world’s most in demand saxophonist Lovely Laura and Ben Santiago are back in Liverpool this bank holiday weekend. Head to Hangar 34 from 11pm on Saturday for all the biggest house beats. More info and tickets here. 

Phase ONE First Birthday

Phase One is 1! There’s limited free drinks, free cake, special offers on vinyl and an amazing line up of live music and DJ’s including Sassy J. Celebrations kick off at 7pm. More info here. 

Garden Party, Café at Nancie, West Kirby

May Bank holiday

Cafe at Nancie, West Kirby presents Garden Party 4 on Saturday. From 4pm you’ll catch Sean Hughes (Cafe del Mar, Ushuaia, Hi Ibiza) and Jimmy Allen (Four to the Floor) on the decks. Happy Hour til 7pm. More info here. 

Treasure Island, Botanical Gin Garden

No bank holiday would be complete without a chill out at Botanical Gin Garden. Treasure Island celebrates the music of our multicultural society from 2pm. Free entry and chilled beats guaranteed. Info here. 

Sgt Peppers BritRock Festival

There’s some serious rock anthems going down at Sgt Peppers on Mathew St this bank holiday weekend. Saturday brings the BritPop mash up from 11am so make a full day of it and bring your best singing voice. Full line up into here.

Sunday 26th May

Little World Official Launch Party

Liverpool’s own zero plastic concept shop is having a huge launch party this weekend. Packed with workshops, entertainment, dining, shopping and sustainable good times, check out Little World on Dunningsbridge Road on Sunday and grab your tickets here. 

Baltic Market Farmer’s Market

The Baltic Market hosts the Baltic Farmers Market again this Sunday from 11am until 3pm. Stock up on Fresh bagels, cheese, bread, local honey, dog treats, pies and so much more. Info here. 

The Club House Live

Festival vibes are on offer at The Club House Live on bank holiday Sunday from 1pm. Live music, table service and fab food. Entertainment is on til 10pm so why not make a day of it? More info here. 

Baby Blue Sundays, Jenny’s

Monday 27th May – Bank Holiday Monday

BOSS Madrid Send Off Party

Hot Water Comedy Club

Gaia The Earth, Liverpool Cathedral

Part of the wider River Festival Liverpool celebrations, Gaia or The Earth, an artwork by Luke Jerram is being unveiled to the city on Saturday. Why not pop along to Liverpool Cathedral on Bank holiday Monday and see this colossal 23ft replica of our planet on display. All the info here.
