Here’s why Olly Murs is our favourite troublemaker
5 years ago

You Know I Know you’re going to see Olly Murs in Liverpool this week.
From humble beginnings auditioning on X Factor to spinning in The Voice UK red chair and helping others realise their dreams, Olly Murs bring his All The Hits Tour to Liverpool for one night only. With a brand new, two-disc album ‘You Know I Know’ featuring unheard tracks and a compilation of his greatest hits, Olly returns to Merseyside on Thursday 30th May with support from Rak-Su.
Barely pausing for breath since his 2009 X Factor experience (the easiest yes Simon Cowell has ever given, he said) Olly has wracked up some incredible tours, presenting gigs, award nominations and pulled on many a footy shirt for charity. This UK wide tour gives fans the chance to belt out those faves (who doesn’t love Heart Skips A Beat, Dear Darlin’ and Please Don’t Let Me Go from back in the day?) and to hear Olly’s latest studio work come to life in one unforgettable gig.
Here’s 8 reasons why Olly Murs is our favourite troublemaker….
1 – 10 Years at the Top
Can you believe it’s been 10 years since Olly found X Factor fame? Despite coming second overall in the competition, missing out to Joe McElderry, it’s safe to say Olly has made his mark in the charts. 6 albums, 24 singles and countless tours, accolades and festival appearances under his belt, he’s showing no signs of stopping.
2 – Troublemaker
The amount of award nominations Olly has received in the last 10 years is staggering. From a huge back catalogue of hits, he’s had nods for BBC Radio One Teen Awards, BRIT Awards, MTV Europe Music Awards, UK Music Video Awards and two Ivor Novello awards for most performed track, Troublemaker.
3 – The Ferrero Rocher Challenge
When a casual game of Guess Who turns into @OllyOfficial doing this with SEVEN Ferrero Rocher… Check it out in full here: https://t.co/B73UnzF6Ap #TheVoiceUK pic.twitter.com/qQ6dAMR7Jt

Known for his raspy, funky voice, singing isn’t Olly’s only talent. Not afraid to take on a challenge, Olly proved he can fit 7 Ferrero Rocher chocolates in his mouth, beating all the other Voice UK judges. Winner.
4 – He’s 100% happy in his birthday suit

As Team Olly triumphed in this years The Voice UK, Olly celebrated Molly’s win with one more spin in the big red chair. Minus his clothes.
5 – Collab of Dreams
A self confessed fan of Robbie Williams, Olly has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. Whether it be touring, presenting or collaborating on tracks, Olly counts Robbie, Gary Barlow, fellow Voice UK judges Tom Jones, Will.I.Am, Jennifer Hudson, Demi Lovato, Flo Rida, Nile Rogers and many more as friends.
6 – Chairman Murs
Olly is a massive footy fan. He supports Manchester United (oh dear) but did you know he’s also chairman of Coggeshall Town? He’s also the first to lace up when it comes to charity matches.
7 – Deal or No Deal?
Olly is the only contestant to appear on Deal or No Deal twice. Before he found X Factor fame he won the paltry sum of ÂŁ10 and returned for a celeb special in 2012!
8 – Mrs Brown’s Boy

Cheeky chappie Olly had no idea what he’s let himself in for when appearing on BBC One show Mrs Browns Boys, needless to say it resulted in a proper, quite shocking snog and some dubious looking stills.
