Heswall restaurant awarded two AA Rosettes
5 years ago
Burnt Truffle, the second of Gary Usher’s Elite Bistros group of restaurants, has been awarded two prestigious AA rosettes by restaurant inspectors.
First introduced in 1956, the AA’s Rosette Award scheme was the first UK-wide scheme for assessing the quality of food served by restaurants and hotels. This year, Heswall’s Burnt Truffle has been awarded an additional rosette by the AA restaurant inspectors.
The two rosettes are awarded to the best local restaurants with a high level of consistency, precision and use of high-quality ingredients.

Gary Usher, comments: “It’s testament to the team at Burnt Truffle that we’ve achieved a second rosette this year. The dishes coming out of the kitchen are stunning and the front of house team is smashing it. With the new summer menu just launched, Burnt is going from strength to strength and I really couldn’t be more proud.”
The recently launched summer menu is available at lunchtime or between 6 and 7pm and features a variety of dishes, including: beer battered pickles and tarragon mayonnaise, burrata with charred Tenderstem broccoli, romesco sauce and almonds to salt and pepper chicken wings served with red chili and roast garlic mayonnaise.
Already proving a firm favourite, the menu also features a 6oz dry aged beef burger with 24-month aged Comte cheese, beef tomato and homemade burger relish.

British weather dependent, guests can enjoy the new menu on the outdoor terrace or away from the elements inside the restaurant, from 12 noon or between 6 and 7pm. The A La Carte menu is available from 6pm onwards.
