How to have the perfect summer’s night at Liverpool ONE
2 years ago
Advertorial
In the daytime, Liverpool ONE’s a fantastic place to go for shopping and a stop off for lunch or a coffee.
But there’s no shortage of things to do in the evenings too, and with the long (and hopefully warm) summer nights still here, now’s the time to check out a few.
Here are 10 things you can get up to on your summer night out at Liverpool ONE …
Try out the experimental cocktails at Aether
Aether takes cocktail creating to another level with its unique menu inspired by the four elements – earth, air, fire and water. Have a blast with a Volcano with Campari and Tanqueray from the Earth list, an Aviation (made with Aviation gin, of course) from the Air, go up in blackberry smoke with the Smoked Rum Berry Sour or try the ultimate summer cocktail: the Ice Cream Fizz, made with Tanqueray, Moet & Chandon Champagne and lemon gelato!
Rent out one of the Coco-huts at The Club House and create your own signature cocktail
If you fancy mixing up a cocktail like the pros, now you can because The Club House lets you create your own (with a little help from their bartenders). Rent a Coco-hut for you and your mates then just choose from a list of base cocktails and shake it up with an added flavour, maybe extra blueberries or passion fruit. You’ll be a cocktail expert in no time.
Enjoy prosecco and all things pink at Boujee Bar & Restaurant
Boujee is heaven for anyone with Instagram because wherever you go, there’s another fabulous backdrop that’s super-pink and perfect for a pic. Whether you’re inside the Bar & Restaurant or outside at Boujee in the Park, it’s all about the sushi, small plates, champagne and cocktails, and just having a good time. Order the Boujee house prosecco by the glass or bottle or go for the rosé option to keep things all pink.
Have a round at Junkyard Golf
Crazy golf is definitely not just for the kids, it’s a great fun way to spend a night out too, especially because this is golf that comes with added cocktails. Enter the neon-lit world of Junkyard and you’ll get to try your hand at three crazy courses with their own very different, slightly twisted, personalities: Gary, Pablo and Bozo! Then you can add in party drinks, ‘Hole in One’ shots, and food including hot dogs, nachos and popcorn.
Give Crazy Pool a go at Roxy Ball Room, Hanover Street
If you thought you knew everything there was to know about pool, you’ve never played Crazy Pool because that takes the rules and mixes them all up in the best way. Think of a mash-up between mini golf and pool – it’s a laugh, it’s fast-paced, you’ve just got to use your cue skills to get your ball round the pool table equivalent of a crazy golf course. Pizza slices and drinks should help!
Try the official Peaky Blinders escape room at Escape Live
Anyone who loves Peaky Blinders will really love having a go at one of two official Peaky Blinders escape rooms which are coming exclusively to Escape Live. They’re among six different themed rooms that you can experience including a horror one and a 1920s Sherlock Holmes one. Go inside and you’ll be challenged to find clues, solves puzzles, and get yourself out all while the clock counts down on your 60 minutes time allowed.
Have a unique dining experience at Mamasan
Just the interiors of Mamasan have to be seen because they’re absolutely stunning, but they’re just part of the overall glamorous dining experience at this South East Asian restaurant. Mamasan’s got a menu of creative authentic dishes, where everything’s made from scratch even down to the pastes and coconut cream, plus fabulous cocktails, gin serves, beers and wines and there’s always the option of the rooftop bar to drink them in if the weather stays nice enough.
Tackle a stein at Bierkeller
For a summer night full of good times and guaranteed party atmosphere then it’s got to be the Bierkeller which is famous for its big nights out. Grab a seat on the wooden benches and find out for yourself – and don’t mess about with just a pint, do it with a stein in your hand to get the full Bavarian experience. Choose from imported European beers or go for a stein of cocktails because that’s the real Bierkeller way.
Try the famous salt and pepper chicken from Maggie Fu
Maggie Fu is an institution for anyone in south Liverpool with a taste for Asian food, so much so that earlier this year they opened Maggie 2 in Liverpool ONE meaning they could make sure everyone got to try it. Anyone who’s been will have their own favourites from Maggie’s menu, and the spicy udon noodles are pretty special, but the one dish that’s a real must-try is the famous salt and pepper chicken.
Get quirky at Cosy Club
There’s a great relaxed feel to a night out at Cosy Club thanks to its quirky décor and a vibe that makes everyone welcome. Choose from the regular dinner menu or set two-course party one if there’s eight or more of you, then take your pick from a lengthy list of wines, beers and cocktails to go with and enjoy the super-cosy-meets-glam décor including some incredible chandeliers created by the same people who made them for Game of Thrones!
