Huge screen ads will say ‘thank you’ and Happy Easter to Merseyside’s NHS heroes

A Liverpool media firm is donating advertising space so Merseysiders can wish NHS workers a Happy Easter – and send messages of love for the great job they’re doing.
Huge Media will tour around the city’s hospitals on Sunday with a giant digital screen carrying photos of hard-working doctors, nurses, and other members of their staff – and family and friends can nominate their loved one, friend or neighbour to feature on it.
Neil Richards, director at Huge Media, says the words being driven around Liverpool might offer Easter greetings, they might say ‘I love you’ to a special someone, or they might simply say ‘thank you’ to the thousands of NHS workers who are doing everything they can to keep everyone safe and well.
Neil adds: “The majority of my staff are furloughed and my fleet of vehicles is mothballed during the crisis.
“I’ve offered services to local councils to boost messages about social distancing but, in the meantime, we will use the giant mobile billboard to spread some love and happiness on Easter Sunday.”
Families and friends of staff at Broadgreen, The Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Aintree University Hospital, Alder Hey and the Women’s Hospitals – which have a regular combined workforce of more than 12,000 staff serving a population of around 630,000 – are invited to put forward names for those people they would like to see featured.
Messages for staff can be submitted directly to Neil and high-resolution photographs can be included (over 2mb) with the shout out information that should be sent to [email protected] by 12 noon on Saturday.

Huge Media is also contributing Easter eggs to the #TeamLWH appeal that’s giving businesses the opportunity to give hard working staff ‘a hug’ through donations.
Neil adds: “The weekly Thursday clap for carers has demonstrated the strength of feeling and support across the nation for our NHS workers, so this Easter Sunday we decided to create the opportunity for more personalised messages of love, gratitude and thanks.”
The campaign is a joint effort with Liverpool’s ComCab taxis whose drivers will deliver the eggs to the Women’s and other hospitals across Merseyside.
