In Demand Radio surprises 20-year old carer with new car filled with gifts

In Demand Radio, have given away a car filled with presents to one lucky deserving winner, just in time for Christmas, for the second year running.

“Suggest a Star to Win a Car” was launched the beginning of December; giving listeners the opportunity to nominate a local hero who has gone above and beyond, showing true kindness and strength in challenging times.

Emma Evans contacted In Demand Radio to nominate her 20-year-old daughter, Mya, who has been caring for her mother for over 10 years, going to hospital appointments with her, caring for her 24/7, raising money for many different charities, all whilst working 2 jobs.

In Demand Radio surprised Mya live on the breakfast show at 8:45am this morning and delivered it to her on the radio.

“Talking to Emma, her mum, it was so clear at how Mya was such a selfless person, and had always put everyone else before herself and so we wanted to help in giving her some recognition for her kind heart.”
