INNSiDE by Meliá: Check out their new and exciting music collaboration

The first event of the series launches in Liverpool, with local musicians Me+ Deboe.

Hotel bedrooms at INNSiDE by Meliá in Liverpool are set to be transformed into stages for local artists to perform unique sets thanks to a collaboration between the hotel, Genre Music, and GigPig. 

Joining forces, INNSiDE’s intimate music series,  INNSiDE The Bedroom, has been curated by Genre Music, with the artists booked via live entertainment and booking platform, GigPig; with the first event launching in Liverpool.

Local duo Me+Deboe will be kicking off the series on Thursday 8th June, at INNSiDE Liverpool’s Docklands Condo suite. Marking the partnership debut, Me+Deboe will bring an alternative performance blending uplifting music with soulful intricate sounds. 

Both established singer songwriters, Mercy Elise And Sarah Deboe, combine their musical backgrounds in classical guitar practice with a love for 60’s rock n’ roll. Not only are the pair experts in music performance, they have worked on theatre productions such as Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre’s Romeo and Juliet where they composed the soundtrack for the show. The production received glowing reviews from the likes of The Guardian.

The award winning duo create music full of lustrous vocal harmonies and lyrical genius. Deboe has also previously won the regionally renowned “Battle of the Bands” in Liverpool as a solo artist. 

The INNSiDE The Bedroom concept is a series of gigs and experiences in an intimate setting across INNSiDE UK hotels, which initially launched last year with singer, songwriter Andrew Cushin, who took over an INNSiDE Manchester bedroom with an acoustic set, before his show at Gorilla. 

The 2023 collaboration will see GigPig host an exclusive event inside a bedroom suite at INNSiDE’s three North UK locations – Newcastle, Manchester and Liverpool. For one night only, a room at each of the venues will be transformed into a captivating and unique stage for local artists, championed by the GigPig platform. 

GigPig is a live music marketplace providing venues of all sizes with a streamlined way to search, book and manage entertainment in-house, while offering artists a free platform to find, play and get paid for gigs. The platform is on a mission to grow and democratise the UK’s live music scene, using its digital platform to empower venues and artists to book and play gigs without excessive third party fees.

The collaboration is in line with INNSiDE by Meliá’ UK’s philosophy ‘Stay Curious’, which promises guests’ an opportunity for inspiring experiences enriched with local music, art and wellness.
